Former CIA Director David Petraeus stoked the controversy over the Obama administration's handling of the Libya terror attack, testifying Friday that references to "Al Qaeda involvement" were stripped from his agency's original talking points -- while other intelligence officials were unable to say who changed the memo, according to a top lawmaker who was briefed.
Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., told Fox News that intelligence officials who testified in a closed-door hearing a day earlier, including Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and Acting CIA Director Mike Morell, said they did not know who changed the talking points. He said they went out to multiple departments, including the State Department, National Security Council, Justice Department and White House.
"To me the question right now is who changed those talking points and why. ... I'd say it was somebody in the administration had to have taken it out," King told Fox News. "That, to me, has to be pursued."

Why the need for any “talking points” in the first place?? I don’t understand why “talking points” have become part of anything. How about just the truth about whatever.
The only thing better than a ‘spontaneous protest’ would have to be a ‘spontaneously changing intel memo.’ I take that back. A ‘spontaneously combusting pResident’ would be a lot better.

I want them to get to the bottom of why no help was sent and who ordered the seals to “stand down”. Why did they watch it in real time and not help. Has this part been forgotten?

Obama is responsible regardless of who in his admin or under his command actually issued the order. Obama failed in his duty to defend our soil and our people from terrorist attack. And he lied to the people, to the congress and to the entire world to cover up his incompetence and dereliction of duty (and possibly much more if they really were using that facility to criminally run guns, hold prisoners, etc).

“Staffing out” documents such as this is conducted by the documents going out for comments to the various Agencies and Offices as email attachments. Comments and proposed changes come back by email responses. There are electronic records of all these communications (there are even electronic records of the “phony email accounts” that members of the Obama regime use to evade legal requirements for document retention.
There is no way that Obama couldn’t know, or find out within 1/2 hour, how the talking points “evolved”. They are willfully playing ignorant. The gullible will believe them and other supporters will pretend to believe them.
Subpoenas are needed to root out the liars ASAP. I’m sure that attempts at record destruction are happening at this very minute. Any true patriots working for the US Government or Government contractors supporting them would do well to make copies of these communications and secure them.

Marvelous. We have a government so inept, that it cannot even identify who changes its own talking points. And if they cannot even identify who changes the governments own talking points, how in the world can they ever guarantee that anything a government official ever states, is even accurate ?

Well, the wording in the headline is "unable to say" not "nobody knows". That makes your conclusion all the more probable.
