BREAKING: The president knew the truth about Benghazi

In a blockbuster report, John Solomon, the former Associated Press and Post reporter, has ferreted out the president's daily brief that informed him within 72 hours of the Sept. 11 attack that the Benghazi attack was a jihadist operation.

Citing officials directly familiar with the information, Solomon writes in the Washington Guardian that Obama and other administration officials were told that "that the attack was likely carried out by local militia and other armed extremists sympathetic to al-Qaida in the region."

He adds:

The details from the CIA and Pentagon assessments of the killing of Ambassador Chris [Stevens] were far more specific, more detailed and more current than the unclassified talking points that UN Ambassador Susan Rice and other officials used five days after the attack to suggest to Americans that an unruly mob angry over an anti-Islamic video was to blame, officials said.

Most of the details affirming al-Qaida links were edited or excluded from the unclassified talking points used by Rice in appearances on news programs the weekend after the attack, officials confirmed Friday. Multiple agencies were involved in excising information, doing so because it revealed sources and methods, dealt with classified intercepts or involved information that was not yet fully confirmed, the officials said.

Solomon cautions that there were bits of evidence pointing to a spontaneous attack but, as Eli Lake of the Daily Beast and others have reported, he writes: “Among the early evidence cited in the briefings to the president and other senior officials were intercepts showing some of the participants were known members or supporters of Ansar al-Sharia — the al-Qaida-sympathizing militia in Libya — and the AQIM, which is a direct affiliate of al-Qaida in northern Africa, the officials said.”

Upchuck, you may be more right than me, but I honestly believe this boils down to something as simple as, “We shouldn’t jump to conclusions.” That’s the famous quote of Obama after the attack on Fort Hood.

He just doesn’t want to accept that the Islamic adherents don’t love us. He refuses to act in public like he thinks parts of Islam are rotten to the core. He is more loyal to them, and playing down their evil ways, than being loyal to the U. S., and recognizing the evil for what it is both personally, and publicly.

If you think in terms of the U. S. vs the U. S. S. R., a president more inclined to be sympathetic to the Soviet’s point of view, would have been considered unfit to hold the highest office in our nation.

Him being responsible for our armed forces in time of conflict, could cause doubts and an inability to respond to an attack in real time.

Bud, this is EXACTLY what took place at Benghazi. He blinked, while our people were slaughtered.

It probably wasn’t a high crime or misdemeanor, but his vacillating on this matter, resulted in unnecessary death. His loyalties are all screwed up.

To one degree or another, he’s on their side. He probably doesn’t agree with what they did here, but he does agree with their overall goals.

Knowing how he was raised, I don’t necessarily think it’s his fault that he respects Islam and Socialism more than he does Christianity and Capitalism.

It still makes him unfit to be our leader.

This is something our Congress better address before it costs us far more than it already has.

Now their argument is they mislead the public because they didn't want the terrorists to know we were on to them... - yet within hours of Bin Laden being killed they told us not only of his death but details that totally blew opportunities to capitalize on the intelligence obtained in the raid.

Do we know that he did watch it as it was unfolding? I don't think any photos were released of the people in the situation room that night. Maybe he was told verbally what was going on in Libya, told Panetta and the rest to handle things, and then went to bed...he had to fly to Las Vegas the next day for a fundraiser.

Obama's brilliant Middle East policy led to this. Right now it could lead to much bigger things, if the Muslim Brotherhood regime in Egypt gets seriously involved in Gaza and we have the first Egyptian-Israeli conflict since 1973.

Well, we have known for some time that he knew, and is lying, and I would not be surprised at all if he is even further involved that than that.

However, impeaching him is useless. Asuuming that it happens, which it will not, that would leave us with Biden as president...and if not him, then Boehner.

We are in serious, serious trouble, and I really do not see any way out of it at all.

Approximately 40 people worked at the Annex, and this number probably includes locals (translators, spies, etc). This was a fairly large operation for a covert foreign location. They're probably all held to secrecy STILL and can't talk, OR (AND A BIG 'OR'), WERE THESE PRISONERS BEING HELD AT THE ANNEX AND THAT'S WHY WE HAVEN'T HERD A PEEP OUT OF THEM? What I want to know is, DID OBAMA DENY ASSISTANCE TO ALL OF THEM?, or had all but the four dead Americans been 'rescued' by the by Doherty/Woods by the time requests for assistance were made? In any case, Obama's failure to attempt to rescue Americans in distress is clearly 'dereliction of duty' as Commander-In-Chief.

1) 0bama’s failure to attend security briefings.
2) The draw-down of security at the Embassy PRIOR TO 9/11.
3) Ignoring pleas from Stevens for more security THE DAY OF THE ATTACK.
4) DENYING troops to rescue Americans in distress DURING THE ATTACK.
5) Was the 'Annex' a prison? 40 people at that location?
6) That Stevens or CIA was doing nefarious things; supplying weapons to terrorists, etc.

The COVER-UP started in the Rose Garden with 0bama's vague words, but became official when Susan Rice did a PROPAGANDA TOUR FOR THE PURPOSE OF DOWNPLAYING THE INCIDENT IN AN ATTEMPT TO COVER-UP FAILURES AND MINIMIZE DAMAGE TO OBAMA'S RE-ELECTION BID.
