BROWNSVILLE — A Department of Public Safety video of an airborne sniper shooting that left two Guatemalan immigrants dead backs up DPS statements that the immigrants were not visible to troopers, according to state lawmakers granted requests to view the footage.
State Sen. Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa, D-McAllen, said the clip, which he viewed in his capitol office on Thursday, contradicts reports by the Guatemalan consulate that a covering concealing the immigrants in the back of the truck had blown off, exposing them to the trooper firing from a DPS helicopter.

According to Hinojosa, the video also shows that there were civilian trucks and cars on the gravel road that had to dodge the Oct. 25 chase in a rural area north of La Joya, part of his senatorial district
You will have to accept other lives are just as important as those in the back of that truck.They got what they paid for this being a 14 year old inexperince smuggler driving a truck recklessly @ 80mph is threat to the public and now the 14 year old Mexican has vanished..... Nobody ever said life was fair .. Had he hit cars or trucks or people or ran into public school, you would be asking why didn’t they do more
Gee I wonder why the Guatemalan consulate would have lied about something like this? $$$ Also, there must be a lot of Guatemalans illegals in Texas to rate a consul there.

Call a cop car? Right. This is not exactly New York City. Come spend an afternoon on the border riding along with a member of the Border patrol. Or better yet, take all 30 million of them home with you. The border needs to be shut down with boots on the ground.
