To: Tolerance Sucks Rocks

Actually if they are really deployed FEMA personnel they could be in some trouble.

Deployed personnel are paid a daily per diem for which food expense is included. They have Government issued credit cards on which they may buy food (the per diem helps pay the credit card bill and they are responsible for anything over the per diem that they spend).

Deployed FEMA personnel are forbidden from partaking in free food for disaster victims unless there is no other source of food available.

Those are some kids from the FEMA Corps. In other words, not FEMA personnel, but unpaid volunteers. FEMA Corps is part of the Americorps community volunteer system.

Although, I suppose, one of those old-fashioned mechanical credit card readers would do in a pinch . . .
