Sources tell FOX 32 News that Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. is willing to give up his 2nd Congressional District seat if he's given disability when he steps down.

Jackson Jr. was re-elected to his tenth term but last month, sources say, he applied for a disability package--what could be his only income if he resigns. It is expected to take a couple of weeks for Congress to approve or deny the request.

They’ll give it to him and then some. We’ve become a nation of cowards, sissies and sheep. Lawsuits, the dreaded “R” word have everyone running.

Voters of the 2nd Congressional District should have to do without representation in Congress for the next two years. Appoint an empty chair to fill the job.

They voted for this turkey, and the only thing their vote will accomplish is to land him a fat pension to which he is not entitled.

That’s one of his brothers, who has been christened by John Kass as “The King of Beers.”

Jesse, Sr., should run for this eat on a platform of “Up with Hope, Down with Dope.” He’s used that slogan before, and it thrills the people of Chicago, not the brighest bunch on the horizon.

The only suitable response that should be given is to just drag off the man to serve his time.

In New Jersey, as an efficiency measure, they now inaugerate and indict all public officials at the same ceremony.

If he’s claiming that his job got him disabled, then I’m going to claim that obama disabled me from working.

“not the brighest bunch on the horizon.”

Since being “Down With Dope” simply implies being a part of the above mentioned bunch.

Although hard to decipher from the original Ebonics, I do believe this was one of the things the Obamaphone woman mentioned were needed to qualify for a free phone in Cleveland.

I don’t understand. Does Congress offer special disability packages?

I have never heard of such a thing. Perhaps Gabby Gifford got something that was not publicized and JJ Jr wants the same. But all still highly doubtful

I am certain this wackjob is eligible for SSI.

The voters elected him - let them keep him.

If he has to miss all the votes because he’s in rehab, great.

What would he get if he had just lost his re-election campaign.....nothing I do believe.

Although I recall some politician in the last 5 years or so that spouted about collecting unemployment benefits after losing re-election. Don’t remember when and/or where though.
