Democratic Socialism is actually a good and necessary instrument for a free society; its true meaning has been demonized by the right in order to allow the corporate rich to get even richer. The misguided have been told that any form of socialism is evil and can be compared to Nazism. Non-thinking people get very frightened to hear this analysis and will vote against anything they believe appears to resemble this disastrous form of government even if it means rejecting benefits that will improve their own well being.
A nation will not survive without Democratic Socialism. It's socialism that provides a fire department and police protection and schools to educate all children not just those born to the well off.
Democratic Socialists believe that both the economy and society should be run democratically—to meet public needs, not to make profits for a few. To achieve a more just society, many structures of our government and economy must be radically transformed through greater economic and social democracy so that ordinary Americans can participate in the many decisions that affect our lives

Wrong. This is an attempted gloss to confuse the historical test of what Nazism, or fascism is. Fascism has 2 components:
1) nationalism ( in the case of Obama it is black power or minority nationalism, usually involving an histrical justification involving justice for the sins of our forfathers) and
2) socialism ( the removal of wealth from thoose who have earned it through taxation or confiscation and the redistribution according to a Utopian scheme)
Both of these factors are very much present in the Obama Matrix which now seeks to govern the USA by executive fiat
and the procedural alienation of a democratic congress.
Few people understand the importance of undrstanding the Obama movement as a fascist movement. Its simple, in order to defeat the Obama Matrixc, one must know the nature of the enemy and its weakness. And there ARE weaknesses.

You now have two Americas. In my opinion, it will not cease until a crisis shall have been reached and passed. A house divided against itself cannot stand. I believe this government cannot endure, permanently, half statist and half free; I do not expect the house to fall; but I do expect it will cease to be divided.
