But the area struck by Hurricane Sandy does have a past history of devastating storms, just long before tv and film to document the damage. They will happen again.

Lomborg is always worth a read although I don’t agree with his politics. He thinks outside the box. His pricetag analysis of “global warming” shows the astounding cost of the solutions foisted on us by the environmentalists.

In fact, the US has not seen a hurricane of Category 3 or higher since Wilma in 2005.... Bzzzt.
2008 had 2. Gustuv(La), and Ike(Tx).
