growing up in upstate NY, I remember so vividly some friends of my parents who were packing up and going to CALIFORNIA!
East Coast liberals coming here for the jobs and the weather was the beginning of the end for us here.

Texas is next.

San Bernadino is a conservative town. So this isn’t a “liberal” problem

...note that the problem started with the closing of a steel mill and then aerospace manufacturing. I've worked in both industries in California - they were destroyed by liberal state & federal policies, which also prevented new industries from replacing them. It didn't matter what party ran the city politics.

Moonbeam created this Frankenstein monster.

In 1975 he passed the Rodda Act allowing public employees to bargain collectively.

Snowball rollin’ downhill ever since.

It’s not the monster’s fault, the blame falls on Dr. Moonbeam.

I'm confused. A police chief pulls in over 300K/yr. A beat cop makes 140K/yr. Yet they complain that the job is tough because of all the crime?

WTF are the citizens paying you that kind of scratch for then?

For 140,000 per year, that cop should be on patrol catching criminals 20 hours a day. It should be a wet dream of public safety and law and order.

“It didn’t matter what party ran the city politics.”

That’s my point exactly. I live in Los Angeles — it’s been run by libs for forty years now. But that doesn’t matter — even their stupid anti-business policies haven’t bankrupted us — people still work and pay taxes.

What’s bankrupting the city are government salaries and pensions. Not one politician, liberal or conservative, can say “no” to the unions and get reelected. Or so they think.

Why become a doctor when you could become a firefighter or a cop, heck who needs a college degree, this is beyond sick, greed has destroyed this nation, I hope they choke on their material wealth, it is theft!!

There is no one left to suck anything out of. California is just going to have to eat it.

It's not like GM. I think people will raise hell if they have to bail out CA.

Impeach the kenyan or secession.
