Catherine Hepburn, I mean Susan Collins is up for re-election in two years. I hope Charlie Summers runs against her too.

No. 55-45, not 60-40.

Sure I can, they’ve been voting for Snowe and Collins for years now.

Unless “Dingy Harry” changes the filibuster rules which he has been trying to do.

They need 51 to change the filibuster rules and so far cannot get that many of their 55 or 56 to agree.

I believe they will get that number because, as evidenced by the Obamacare vote, the dems are not afraid to take advantage of their majority status while Republicans usually are.

Surprise? I heard election night this “independent” would caucus with the democrats if elected.

Color me stunned.American For Democratic Action,a proudly and openly Marxist “watchdog” group, rates each and every member of Congress...House *and* Senate...on their level of wisdom, courage and compassion by analyzing their voting record.Olympia Snowe got a 40% rating for the most recent year available. That means that they think she only voted “correctly” 40% of the time.Ten bucks says that King will score 100% for as long as he’s there.

I suspect many of them also voted for 0. Though in a few years, they’ll never admit it.

"No, they need 60, he makes 55 or 56."

My opinion is maybe. With Graham, McCain, Collins and a couple more of GOPe Rinos who like to reach across the aisle, Reid may just have his quorom of 60 votes to block a filibuster. The voters spoke that they want compromise to solve problems/sarcasm.

33 seats were up, 23 held by Dems, and 6 of them in open Dem seats.

And the GOP manages to lose two seats. This was not due to Romney — he ran well ahead of nearly all senate GOP candidates in all senate races from coast to coast.

Hispanics and young people are a huge problem.
