Anti-gun immigrant chides Americans for 'literal following of the Constitution'
St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner ^ | 13 November, 2012 | Kurt Hofmann

Posted on 11/14/2012 8:24:57 AM PST by marktwain

Sanjay Sangohee has by all accounts enjoyed great success since coming to America. His Huffington Post biography makes that abundantly clear:

"Sanjay Sanghoee is a banker and the author of Merger, a fast-paced financial thriller published by Forge Books and reviewed by Chicago Tribune, BARRON’s and others - available on Amazon. . . . He has more than a decade of experience in banking, ranging from Mergers & Acquisitions at Lazard and Dresdner to the investment side at Ramius, a multi-billion dollar hedge fund."

One might expect that such prosperity would have inspired some gratitude for the system of government that allowed him the freedom to parlay his talents and hard work into such comfortable wealth, but even a cursory perusal of his Huffington Post columns shows that Sangohee believes that much of the way in which things are done in his adopted nation should be dramatically changed.

Nowhere is that more clearly illustrated than in his nearly constant criticism of America's gun culture. From claiming that "gun control" is "patriotic," to calling for the Second Amendment to be "challenged," and for "zero tolerance on guns", to arguing that "guns are killing our freedom," to blaming "the cowboy culture and the spread of heavy duty weapons like the AR-15 semi-automatic rifles" for the fact that New York City police officers shot nine innocent (and unarmed) citizens over the course of a few seconds, to claiming--without offering a shred of evidence--that the Founding Fathers would have enthusiastically embraced ruthlessly oppressive gun regulation, (Update: Bruce W. Krafft magnificently deconstructs this piece here) had they anticipated technological advances in the capability of firearms (that ridiculous "argument" just will not go away, no matter how soundly it is debunked), Sanghoee leaves no doubt that he wants Americans as incapable of defending themselves effectively

This a-hole can go back to whence he came if he doesn’t like what freedom gives us Americans. Nobody is forcing him to live here.

Armed citizenry is the best bulwark against dictatorship.
The 2nd Amendment insures that. I speak as an immigrant to this great country.

I will take occasional unjustified gun violence over losing my liberty to tyrants.

If this blowhard can show me how he proposes to take illegal guns away from the criminals, we can begin a talk.

Typically the wealthy or upper class folks in India imagine that the lower castes, upon being issued weapons, would kill them.

They're probably correct ~

But the United States is not India ~ still, if we had an upper class like the one they have India we'd probably shoot them too.

Most gun control leftists have this utopian “giant magnet” theory that if they ban guns, they are eventually not going to exist.

Guns last a LONG time, especially if well cared for.

If you don’t like our Constitution, then go back to whatever little despotic satrapy you came from.

Wealth does not make a crack-pot any less of a crack-pot!

If this crack-pot was ever granted citizenship, it should be revoked, as his oath to defend the Constitution was insincere. Others have lost citizenship for less.

Nothing is more essential to our Constitutional system, than the Right & Duty To Keep & Bear Arms.

Moron moves to the U. S.

Moron decides the U. S. needs to change to suit him.

Moron is asked to leave.

Moron thinks, how unfair is that?

Rest of us to moron, “You can go anywhere you like that’s better. You have our blessing to leave this ‘flawed’ nation any time you like ass-bite.”

"the cowboy culture and the spread of heavy duty weapons like the AR-15 semi-automatic rifles"

The AR-15 is a pea shooter compared to heavy duty weapons. Now an M2 is a heavy duty weapon.

Ar15 is a “girlfriend gun” - the light weight, non recoiling, but accurate gun you teach your girlfriend to shoot on.

Yes, it is a good gun to teach a new shooter. My .308 semi is also a low recoil, but the accuracy at 300+ yards is better than the AR 15. The most accurate gun I ever shot was a 25.06 Remington.
