Poll: Fewer Americans Now Support Obamacare Repeal

A record low number of American voters want to see the Affordable Care Act – Obamacare – repealed, according to a new post-election poll conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation.

Obamacare was not the top issue driving American to vote, although nearly seven in 10 Americans cited it as a “major factor” in their decision choosing between the candidates, according to Kaiser. Voters who listed Obamacare as a major factor were evenly split between Republican Mitt Romney, 47 percent, and President Obama, 46 percent.

But only 33 percent of Americans now want to see the law repealed. Romney had pledged to repeal the law and replace it with new policy. 43 percent of Americans view the law favorably and 39 percent view it unfavorably, according to the poll.

Seven in 10 Americans also cited the future of Medicare as a “major factor” in their vote. Obama led among this group, 50 percent – 41 percent.

National exit polls conducted on election day found 26 percent of voters wanted the law expanded, 18 percent want it left as-is, 27 percent wanted to repeal some of the law and 25 percent wanted to repeal all of it.

We fight. Same as always. We write to them and to our governors to convince them to block it. If it is initiated - we refuse to pay.

What, is Obama going to arrest all of us for refusing to pay for Obamacare?

“That 3% becomes 11X 3%, or 33%.”

The odds of that happening over this large a sample are higher than your chances of winning the jackpot at Vegas with three playboy bunnies over your shoulder. Twice.

Back to basics. There are normal people and there are special interest people. The normal people answer that phone 9% of the time and the special interest people answer that phone 100% of the time.

The polling firms have turned to allowing their selected targets to "Call Back" which means everybody who is called has a 100% chance of making connection with the pollster.

Those who neither answer the phone nor call back 91% of the time, are not queried. Those who answer the phone or call back 100% of the time, are queried.

The final results reported from these polls involve answers provided ONLY by those queried!

If your special interest group is as much as 1% of the population, you will end up queried by the pollsters at least 11 X more often than anyone who is part of the 91% non response group.

If there are three leftwingtard special interest groups, their combined 1% representation will be 3% of the total of the original 100% of people who are called, but it will be 33% of the total of the final 9% of people who answer.

So, what are the odds of being called? Actually they are very high ~ I get called regularly.

Word gets around on some polls ~ Gallup says that for the last year it has been asking for the sexual preferences of the people they contact. I don't think they could hide that long.

By all accounting all the Gallup campaign polls were the MOST in error.

No doubt!

Soon enough the sheeple will discover how bad a centrally planned national health care system is, and things will get very ugly.

“Gallup campaign polls were the MOST in error.”

Yes, they were +5 in the Republican’s favor. A fact that you mysteriously left out...

Anyways, since we’ve twice dismissed polls showing our side losing, maybe we’d better start paying attention to polls to tell us stuff we don’t want to hear.

In case anyone hasn’t noticed, the people are sheep. (Someone famous said that). So we Republicans have to LEAD them to conservatism, not FOLLOW opinion polls.

There's nothing mysterious about the Gallup polls ~ i simply reported what others reported. At some point provided I can get aholt of all the surveys I'll dig in and see what happened.

Could be ANOTHER minority group already knew about the value of always answering polls....... well, anyway, they'd be a larger group than the gays and that crowd wouldn't they. If we stipulate GBLT at .34% of the total population, that gives us 1.08 million potential targets ~ so to get 5%, which is 15 times as big as .34%, we'd need a body with about 16 million adults.

LDS only claims about 6 million adult members and other bodies claim LDS is about 4.4 million ~ so, if it were simply Mormons onto the game and boosting Republican responses you'd need another 11 million folks somewhere ~ so, where are they?

How about multi-line service. I have a number, my spouse has a number, the house has a number ~ actually vonage gives us a fourth number.

I'm not even a mormon, but that's an average of 2 lines each ~ but then there are the kids ~ and their spouses. Got at least 20 of them there!

The chance of us getting called are immense! So, anyone know how many telephone numbers each adult Mormon uses?

I suspect there's another source ~ as well as that one!

Not enough mormons to put them 5 percent off their polls, that several standard deviations off...

NOTE ~ totally seperate issue ~ dismissing polls with bad news ~ no, i have been busy coming up with reasons to dismiss all polls for several years now.

This year virtually all the pollsters gave up simply reporting the data as they received it by calling people and began filtering it with OTHER information ~

In doing that they managed to destroy whatever value random sampling lent to any polls ~

I would have rather counted pigeon droppings on sidewalks ~ truly a random array ~ than accept any of these polls without a lot more information about them than any of the pollsters would tell us.

The selection is made out of the available storehouse of telephone numbers issued for personal use ~ not according to your reality as a human being, so folks with more numbers have a larger chance of being called!

How many cellphone numbers do you think the Romney nuclear family has ~ 20, 30 ~ maybe 100?

Maybe rich Republicans have all the extra numbers!

And you were wrong in your predictions that Romney would win, and we were right in our predictions that Obama would win.

Empiricism suggests that your approach be relegated to the dustbin.

I had Obama winning unless Romney figured out how to overcome his 10,000,000 spare voters ~ and he only overcame about 6.5 million of them and he lost.

So, how many voters did you predict these two candidates would get?
