House members call for Benghazi answers, Petraeus testimony

Members of the House on Tuesday reiterated their call for the Obama administration to answer their questions about the September attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that left four Americans dead, and pressed for former CIA Director David Petraeus to testify on the matter.

"Congress still doesn't know why our people in Libya were left vulnerable," Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) said on the House floor. "We still don't know why the U.S. military was not sent to their defense.

"It is of the highest importance that General Petraeus, who led the CIA at the time, be brought before Congress to testify as to what really happened in Benghazi, whether there was a security lapse or whether the administration temporized on security and stood down to mollify violent, disparate groups which have nothing in common with our nation," he said.

I am sorry if this was already posted. I did a search, but I got the old Forbidden page. So I decided to post anyway and take the heat if I did the forbidden sin by posting an already posted article. :)

The current demi-purge is a test run, recon by fire.

If the White House can keep the MSM on their side, they'll keep pushing ahead with a widening purge of their "enemies."

Remember,

"It's not a scandal if we don't report it."

Dennis Kucinich is asking these questions? I think I better go lie down. I’m feeling disoriented.

I’ve been getting the Forbidden Page message too when I search. Does anyone know why?

I wonder if Dennis will get invited to the White House for a little ‘talk’ in the very near future....

Congress doesn’t know lots of things, probably because they are a bunch of feckless, self-serving and innefectual do nothings interested only in self promotion. As an institution, it is not taken seriously. As the old saying goes if progress is going forward, what is congress?

Let me remind you. Richard Nixon was re-elected by the people and was impeached.

BUT, Richard Nixon was not a Democrat.

The blood of Bengazi is clearly on the hands of Obozo. No one else could have called for the stand down.

Does the GOP have the balls to open this can of worms?

We shall see.

I get it now. Obozo administration knows about Petraeus/Broadwell for months at least. Obozo holds it over P’s head while he gives (false)testimony to Congress about Bengazi being about the stupid video. Later, P goes to Libya, finds out all of the truth, is troubled by it, tells Obozo that he can’t keep on protecting Obozo. Obozo “assasinates” P “Chicago style”.

I wonder how many Socialist (Democrat) members of the Benghazi committees will keep bringing up the sex scandal as a diversion from 0bama’s betrayal of four Americans in Benghazi? Will Elijah E. Cummings be on these committees?

Sorry, but Nixon wasn’t impeached. He ‘fired’ Agnew, hired Ford as VP, then resigned BEFORE they could impeach him.

Only 2 US Presidents (both D) impeached. Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton although NOT removed by Senate.

BTW, Nixon was probably the forerunner of todays RINO community.... with a lot of help from Rockefeller and the so called “Country Club Republicans) etc....

In my opinion.

Petraeus knew from the start all that was happening in Libya and Syria from the beginning at the instruction of Obozo and Valorie Jarrett. Petraeus was the good troop when he lied to Congress about the cause of the violence. That ended when Obozo gave the “stand down” order which denied support for the embattled operatives in Bengazi.

I think the stand down order caused Petraeus to refuse further support to hide Obozo. So he was blackmailed to be silent and simply step down.

FUBO!

All this “mistress” and “affairs” stuff allegedly involving two generals and two mistresses is just a diversion from -
BENGHAZI, LIBYA.

Republicans in Congress will soon again be demonized if they push it and accused of “attacking” Hussein in order to try to “overturn” an election and the “will of the people”. If they get a special prosecutor, it will be Ken Starr and Bill Clinton all over again. - The scapegoats are already online for taking the fall, and it ain’t gonna be The Chicago Thug or the Arkansas Grifters.

You are correct.

Nixon was told by Congress that impeachment would happen and he resigned under that threat.

About Nixon being a RINO, I do not totally agree. Yes, he had Kissinger as SOS. Yes he appointed many NE GOP elites.

Nixon was always anti-Communist.

I too despise the NE GOP Elites. They are not defendable.

While Petraeus needs to be called to testify (even if he must be Subpoenaed) but so does Her Thighness, Hitlery as well as FBI Director Mueller.

Without their testimony, we will never get to the bottom of this matter.

While the House is at it (as the Senate will be a joke and designed to protect Dear Leader's fascist butt) they should also call AFRICORP Gen Hamm so we could learn what he was ordered to do in response or was not.

I wholeheartedly agree with that but the reason I am ‘crowning’ him the RINO forerunner as he probably enhanced the growth of the ‘Great Society’ but not quite as bad as LBJ -
And he eventually over came the ‘burden’ of being a Quaker, though the closest many people came to Quakers was a box of breakfast cereal, so he was alright with them...(not an insult, just a stab at jocularity)...

Agree. The more I read about the Petraeus “scandal”, which seems to be expanding without end and including more military people (who, btw, Obama despises), the more I believe it was all made up to discredit P’s potential/possible testimony. And interesting how all of this came to light AFTER the election. I do believe there’s more truth to a Benghazi coverup than this Petraeus/biographer scandal. Just too convenient, IMO. It stinks.
