WASHINGTON (AP) — Labor leaders said Tuesday that President Barack Obama remains committed to preserving tax cuts for middle class families and ensuring the wealthy pay more in taxes, outlining plans for a public campaign to pressure Republican lawmakers.

The heads of several labor unions and Democratic-leaning interest groups emerged from an hour-long meeting with Obama saying they were united with the president on how to avert the so-called ‘‘fiscal cliff’’ and prevent more financial hardships next year.

‘‘We are very, very committed to making sure that the middle class and workers don’t end up paying the tab for a party that we didn’t get to go to and the president is committed to that as well,’’ said AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka.

Hey, Dick, I wasn’t invited to the Obama’s looting and pillaging party either. And I’m not paying one more cent.
Raising marginal rates does NOTHING to increase revenue. I don’t think these guys are that stupid. Some other agenda is at play here.

Any on surprised by this???

Labor wants to stick it to the evil rich who do not deserve what they have legally earned.

Need to give it to use the unions (especially the union head honchos because a six and some cases 7 figure salary for safe guarding the working man is simply no enough).

Then we can spend it by giving it back to the Democrats and if the formula works right elect more Democrats and the further to the left they are the better.

Basically, they want to get rid of small businesses (that don’t use labor union) by sticking it to those greedy rich capitalists....

Of course he does.
He could care less about the lifelong working (non-union) Amricans, the vast majority, but supports his thuggish, union supporters and the vast growing family of economic parasites, also part of his voting base.

We won't know who the casualties are at the bottom of that cliff, until the bodies are collected and examined and they won't be Obamabots.
