WE FOUND ABU NAZIR!!! (or at least the guy who plays him on "Homeland") ... and last night, he made a very interesting comment about terrorists.

TMZ came face to face with Navid Negahban in Hollywood last night -- who seems to be a much nicer guy than the Osama Bin Laden-esque bad guy he plays on the hit Showtime series.

And most times, the terrorists are slimy murderous scum who deserve to have their heads cut off.-

One Man's Terrorist is another mans Freedom fighter.

The Problem with that is (much) of the time the "Freedom" Fighter is often looking for the "Freedom" to impose HIS ideology on the nation/populace/whatever.

Its called the Exchange of Tryants.

For the record the US government deliberately targets civilian populations, and has on a massive scale since at least Sherman. Terrorism is an inherent aspect of modern warfare. So if you think we have been fighting for freedom the last159 years, the guy has a point.

The War against its own citizens.

So, when we asked what it's like to play such a hated terrorist, we were a little shocked by his answer: "Depends on how you look at it," Navid said ... adding, "Sometimes the terrorists in other countries are all the heroes." He's probably right ... but it's a dicey thing to say in the US of A.

My thoughts: No, there is no situation in which terrorism is anything short of pure evil. Killing innocents to generate fear and terror is not acceptable in any culture that is worth preserving or even interacting with. Any country/religion/culture in which "terrorists . . . are all the heroes" is one that needs to be shunned - walled off from civilization.
