(HotAir) NYT: FBI agent involved in Petraeus case pursued it because of his “worldview”

I’ll hit this on the blog later too but I want to push it out bright and early, as it’s a wrinkle in last night’s post about the shirtless circus clowns who govern us:

Ms. Kelley, a volunteer with wounded veterans and military families, brought her complaint to a rank-and-file agent she knew from a previous encounter with the F.B.I. office, the official also said. That agent, who had previously pursued a friendship with Ms. Kelley and had earlier sent her shirtless photographs of himself, was “just a conduit” for the complaint, he said. He had no training in cybercrime, was not part of the cyber squad handling the case and was never assigned to the investigation.

But the agent, who was not identified, continued to “nose around” about the case, and eventually his superiors “told him to stay the hell away from it, and he was not invited to briefings,” the official said. The Wall Street Journal first reported on Monday night that the agent had been barred from the case.

Later, the agent became convinced — incorrectly, the official said — that the case had stalled. Because of his “worldview,” as the official put it, he suspected a politically motivated cover-up to protect President Obama.

I meant that they are now molding this story to make it appear as though obama is clean as the driven snow and worthy of sympathy.

I would bet the WH is blackmailing these people. By the exposure of Petraeus, it also exposes those things that don’t seem to make a lot of sense in the last few years.

Like the Roberts decision.

I wonder if Boehner is being blackmailed? Food for thought.

So why would FBI go to her house yesterday carrying out boxes through her garage, and probably her computers as well???

Petraeus has become Odungo’s Monica. The first three pages of any newspaper is filled with stories engulfing more and more people. Meanwhile Odungo remains untouched,Holder recently admitted that none of this info was passed on to Odungo.....?????. A presidential appointee (head of CIA) who’s been under investigation for months by the FBI.....AND Odungo knows nothing.
So we can all expect more and more scandal to fill the front page while Odungo gets away with supplying arms to the brotherhood and ALQ.....

Seems like Abbe Lowell is already at work and leaking the defense strategy to the NYT.

Wonder whose idea it was to hire Abbe Lowell?

Note that he's not leaking anything yet because she hasn't been charged. He's probably only on retainer.

The two emails I read between Wanda the Writer and the Lebanese skank were really odd. I wonder if the Lebenese skank could have written both herself. But why? Is Broadwell sane? Her supposed email didn’t seem sane.

http://www.lightlybraisedturnip.com/broadwell-kelly-emails-leak/

I saw that link last night, but didn't click on it, because the website's name "lightly braised turnip" sounds suspiciously like "The Onion."

Please correct me if I'm wrong about the site, and they somehow have the real documents ... but this topic is so [over]ripe for parodists and other mischief makers, we should be careful.

Even a usually sober writer over at The American Thinker got sucked in by a parody military website the other day.

The FBI already had her computer. It was taken months ago and was used in analyzing the emails that pulled Petraeus into the case.

The fact that the FBI is now going deeper appears to imply that this case is about something quite a bit larger than sex and romance.

I tend to think/believe that most if not all of the people at high levels in Fed government, especially congresspersons, are very likely prone to scandal.

Telling someone “stay away from my guy” is not a threat.

I’m waiting for some commentary that these poor men can’t resist these women. I mean, what could be more bizarre than an FBI agent who knows he is investigating affairs, and emails, sending photos of himself to one of the women in the investigation?

There is a bigger story here and it’s a breakdown of discipline similar to what you might expect in some crap country. Think about the Secret Service acting like out of control pigs.

He also revealed that “I’m not going to say how I know this, but let me tell you something: There are some people high up in official Washington who knew about this. I know that personally. They knew about it three, four weeks ago. They knew about this. And if they knew about this three to four weeks ago, am I really to believe that the White House didn’t know about this? Nobody in the White House knew about this three to four weeks ago?”

So why didn't he report it and get the scoop of the year?

Oh. Yeah. Right.

They raided her house because they are embarrassed and they will overuse their immense power to get someone. If you have experience with prosecutions you know these guys often are over zealous and it can turn off a jury.

I’ve seen corruption cases where the prosecution is trying like crazy to introduce evidence of the defendant’s mistress, including sex toys, etc. The judges often have to rein them in.

She’s worried about harassing EMAILs so she turns to a guy who sent her harassing EMAILS with half naked pictures of him self?

In this case, I think that the O adim has been blackmailing all kinds of people to compel them to go along with their program.

My best guess is that nothing would have come out and Petraeus would have just decided to step down for the 2nd Obama term.

But the FBI guy got to Cantor and the whole thing blew up.

Right now it is being spun as a sex scandal and like it is just bad because these guys could be intelligence risks.

But the truth probably is that the O admin likes guys who they can blackmail. Keeps them in line.

Thats why all the timeline lies. Just like Benghazi.

I wonder what they have on Boehner. Maybe it came up on his golf outing with Obama.

Health problems General Petraeus was diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer in February 2009 and underwent two months of successful radiation treatment at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.[185] The diagnosis and treatment was not publicly disclosed until October 2009 because Petraeus and his family regarded his illness as a personal matter that did not interfere with the performance of his duties.[186]

On June 15, 2010, Petraeus momentarily fainted while being questioned by the Senate Armed Services Committee. He quickly recovered and was able to walk and exit the room without assistance.[187] He attributed the episode to possible dehydration.

After Prostate treatment, it would questionable if he was able to "perform"!!!

IF he could/can the fainting in the CONgress hearing could be the afterburner from a steamy affair from the night before???
