(HotAir) NYT: FBI agent involved in Petraeus case pursued it because of his “worldview”

I’ll hit this on the blog later too but I want to push it out bright and early, as it’s a wrinkle in last night’s post about the shirtless circus clowns who govern us:

Ms. Kelley, a volunteer with wounded veterans and military families, brought her complaint to a rank-and-file agent she knew from a previous encounter with the F.B.I. office, the official also said. That agent, who had previously pursued a friendship with Ms. Kelley and had earlier sent her shirtless photographs of himself, was “just a conduit” for the complaint, he said. He had no training in cybercrime, was not part of the cyber squad handling the case and was never assigned to the investigation.

But the agent, who was not identified, continued to “nose around” about the case, and eventually his superiors “told him to stay the hell away from it, and he was not invited to briefings,” the official said. The Wall Street Journal first reported on Monday night that the agent had been barred from the case.

Later, the agent became convinced — incorrectly, the official said — that the case had stalled. Because of his “worldview,” as the official put it, he suspected a politically motivated cover-up to protect President Obama.

I have a hard time believing Broadwell threatened Kelley. The rest of this makes no sense.

So, it’s thru the shirtless guy that Rep. David Reichert found out and then Eric Cantor.
Some of the pieces are starting to come together, but there are lots more.

So basically, our military and intelligence top brass are a bunch of adolescent frat boys who can’t keep their hands off other men’s wives. That just might be the reason we no longer can win wars with 17th century Muslims in countries so poor they can’t afford outhouses.

The Founders had it right when they did not want a standing army. Every state should have its own defense by an organized state militia. It would be hilarious to see the outfits put together by the ObamaNation. No doubt, they would emphasize diversity and would be composed of homosexuals and women and one-legged pygmies.

LCMS-type ping. Allahpundit references a recognized LCMS gal and her article at ricochet.

It’s possible that there were rumors of Kelley being involved with a general and since she was already acquainted with Patraeus, Broadwell might have mistakenly thought it was Patraeus that she was involved with. (when it was actually Gen. Allen)

he suspected a politically motivated cover-up to protect President Obama.

My suspicion is that the opposite is true...I think it is actually the motivation of the agent to aid and abet Obama.

Seems like Abbe Lowell is already at work and leaking the defense strategy to the NYT.

Yes, that is indeed what Hillary Clinton would like you to think.

If the New York times is trying to help the FBI agent then it would seem he was for the other side.

NYTimes doesn’t help our side.

Frat boys might be the right term...

I report, you decide. :)

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/joe-scarborough-i-know-personally-that-some-in-dc-knew-about-petraeus-investigation-three-four-weeks-ago/

He also revealed that “I’m not going to say how I know this, but let me tell you something: There are some people high up in official Washington who knew about this. I know that personally. They knew about it three, four weeks ago. They knew about this. And if they knew about this three to four weeks ago, am I really to believe that the White House didn’t know about this? Nobody in the White House knew about this three to four weeks ago?”

Later, he said that the investigation is further muddled due to the reality that the CIA and FBI do not only dislike each other, but actively hate one another. In addition, he’s worried about what the investigation tells us about the state of our civil liberties.

I would bet the WH is blackmailing these people. By the exposure of Petraeus, it also exposes those things that don’t seem to make a lot of sense in the last few years.

Like the Roberts decision.
