Right. That is REAL SMART. Put your name and address on a GOVENMENT HIT LIST. SMART. REAL, REAL SMART. Idiots.
************************************

I guess that says it all. Beck is saying the same thing you are.

If our government has a hit list and we fear our government, then it is all over anyhow, isn’t it?

For some maybe this is the last great act of defiance. It’s their *rude gesture*

We aren’t free. We are fearful slaves.

I bet the fact people from one state signing petition for another state will just be laughed at by WH.

This is stupid. it makes the signer feel good but in reality does nothing. As previous poster mentioned many of same people signing multiple petitions. That in itself invalidates any worthiness they had. Just like people from outa area signing to put questions of ballots. when checked it doesn’t have the validity to move the proposition or in this case the “petition” to the next step.

Many have stated we need to address recounts and any issues we have with the govt through our OWN STATE channels.

we need to quit the pipe dreams and deal with true methods.

Read my other posts. Democrats, their government prosecutors, the Department of Homeland Security, the Democrat dominated judiciary, and the Democrat controlled MSM will have a field day against anyone advocation peaceful secession once one or more of their Communist agent provocateurs perpetrates one or more violent acts to provoke a response by law enforcement. Protestations of peaceful advocating of secession will then fall on deaf ears, conservatives will be wrongfully suppresseed, and conservative efforts to remove the illegitimate government will be sabotaged. Do you really think doing something so improper and illegitimate to make yourself feel ggod and boastful is not destructive towards the conservative effort to end the Democrat-Communist usuropatons and corruption?

That is a very impressive list of offenses you have there. If I was George Washington, and the king of England threw that kind of legalese at me, I might of just called it quits and went home. Consent of the governed, that is what we have lost. Attempts at secession will only be met with force and bloodshed by the federal government, because they are playing by their own rules now, and we really have no say in the matter anymore.

Must investigate and respond?
(snicker)
I can just imagine the quality of that "investigation" and "response."

“Coward.”

That does it, you’re off of my Christmas list.

While you’re sitting around trying to think up some more spine-shaking insults to hurl around in a tantrum, you might want to consider how to remove the crminals from the U,S. and state governments instead of our conservvatives. Acting suicidal with nonsensical secession petitions certainly does not inspiree the confidence or support of the conservative community taking meaningful measures against the criminals.

I signed, I understand it’s symbolic but before I did it - it did cross my mind that we have a vengeful administration.

Bad things happen to those who oppose Obama, not talking about death (not that we know of) but finances and reputations are ruined.

I did have a moment of fear of my government.

I hope this is hurts his monsterous ego. Which is why I did it.

I signed the WV petition. I will also be signing onto the NC, MS, and LA petitions. They are places I've lived, or visit a lot. The people who live there are mostly into America, instead of Amerika. I'm #1260 on the WV petition. I signed up an hour ago, and it is currently posting 1657+...

I prefer liberty, but am not afraid of death! I have a very good Friend in a VERY High place!

Anyone who thinks this has any chance at all to be successful needs to have a serious reality check. It will never happen, and it just makes those advocating it look like fools.

As much as I don’t like the outcome of the election, I’m not ready to give up on America yet.

Anyone who wants states to leave our nation had better take a long look in the mirror. How dare you disrespect the sacrifices of our fallen veterans who gave their lives for America. And you call yourselves Patriots...I would use a different term...Quitters.

Perpetrating a bank robbery, advocating secession, or engaging in other potentially illegal conduct is hardly the way to win respect or support for the removal of the criminals in government. Not all riots, insurrections, or rebellions are justified or justifiable. Waving around the Declaration of independence and other rhetoric from the War of Independence does not confer legitimacy upon illegitimate insurrections and rebellions. attempts to secede the states can make the advocate of such actions just as much an enemy of conservatives as the Communists are the enemies of conservatives. Conservatives endeavor to preserve the Union not for the sake of preserving a Federal government for its own sake but for the sake of protecting and defending the blessings of liberty and freedom for all persons in all of the states in ways which cannot be accomplished individually or severably. Disunion and its attendant evils are wholly destructive of liberty and freedom, because disunion solidifies criminal control of Federal and state governments.

The Founding Fathers exerted extensive efforts for more than a year to avoid the necessity of declaring independence. It was only the British Crown’s insistence upon abrogating the Royal charters and the lawfully constituted colonial governments that provoked and made a necessity of rebelling against a British Government in which the colonists were deprived of legislative and reasonable judicial representation.

It was a lot longer than a year.

Ultimately, how was their situation different that that of the states vs. the federal government, with its many usurpations of the Tenth Amendment?

And, ultimately, as I pointed out before, they didn't ask permission to secede; they just did it and told the Crown to go F itself.

They may look like fools, but not to themselves. They receive a bit of self-satisfaction at very little cost. There are things that we can do which are as likely to provide self-satisfaction and that might, in the long run, do some good. I wrote about them at my blog and also posted the entire article at FR.

Unless we start thinking instead of emoting, the situation will continue to worsen. Then, we can always find some more "feel good" things to do that will be equally useless to turn the nation away from the worsening situation(s).

Interesting perspective, thanks for posting it. Out of curiosity, is there a set of circumstances under which you would approve of a political statement like these requests to secede?

They already have the laws to prevent that.

“These petitions are requesting peaceful withdrawal from the Union and do not advocate or seek to overthrow the federal government by force. It’s merely a request to separate peacefully. “You go your way, we’ll go ours. Good luck to ya.” That’s not a crime.’

The Beast on the Potomac is a murderous and jealous beast. It will let the people it dislikes alone only when it is too feeble or too remote to murder them enough that the survivors submit to ‘union’. It is not yet so feeble and is at your doorstep. Hell, after the ruling this summer on HealthControl the beast is in your medicine cabinet. Be careful.

Call for a state constitutional convention and put it to a vote. If you get 2/3 affirmative petition Congress for secession.

...the current fashion for secession is illegal...

All people of this earth have an innate and intrinsic right to disassociate themselves from any political union that has become a despotic oppressor against them.

If by "illegal", you mean that there are laws established against the right of a people to exercise their God-given right of free association, then that law is immoral and without natural standing.
