Newt Gingrich: Source Tells Me Petraeus Never Blamed Benghazi Attack On Video
Mediaite ^ | November 13, 2012 | Alex Alvarez

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich stopped by Fox & Friends Tuesday morning to promote his new book, but was first asked to share his thoughts on the ever-widening scandal surrounding General David Petraeus and his biographer, Paula Broadwell.

(snip)

Host Steve Doocy asked Gingrich what he made “of the fact that the with mainstream media has followed the White House’s lead” on the story, maintaining that the President did not know about Petraeus’ situation until after the election.

Gingrich said this was the first time he’s realized that “this has been going on for months,” later adding that he’d been told “by people in the room” that Petraeus had in fact been “the one guy” who said the Benghazi attack was an act of terrorism and not a protest to a video.

The last paragraph tells me about the mindset of Broadwell. She seems to be trying to cover for O, Clinton, Susan Rice and P4 all at once.

Very disturbing as I was beginning to think Broadwell (aside from her personal moral failings) might be one of the good guys.

I wonder how Petraeus could voluntarily be part of the 0 regime and be any where to the right of a leftist RINO.

"The challenging thing for General Petraeus is that in his new position, he’s not allowed to communicate with the press. So he’s known all of this."

...interesting

But is frustrating to see the sort of political aspect of what’s going on with this whole investigation.

This could be viewed several ways. The WH was the one who really politicized events beginning with the coordinated attack with the MSM on Romney.

AFTER her interview with the FBI, which according to the NYT was the week of 10/21. Was she sending a message?

She just might turn out to be the real Patriot in this saga.

Do you have the names of the guys that were in charge of ORCA?

If I were a conspiracy theorist, I would wonder why ORCA was used when it was NEVER tested and in fact I read that it could not be tested, but only used on election day. It sounds ripe for sabotage. and

Perhaps as Head of the CIA Petraeus got wind of vote fraud schemes in the swing states. or

Perhaps the vote fraud schemes and voting macine rigging were carried out by the CIA on orders from 0bama, or to avoid the threatened riots?

-- True, That was Clapper, his boss. --

I think all we have is misinformation.

--

Yet a congressional source told Fox News that CIA Director David Petraeus, during a briefing with members of the House Intelligence Committee three days after the attack, espoused the view that Benghazi was an out-of-control demonstration prompted by the YouTube video.

US officials knew Libya attack was terrorism within 24 hours, sources confirm - FoxNews, September 27, 2012

--
But the next day, Sept 14, Petraeus went to Capital Hill and described the attack as something befitting a flash mob, "where the militants showed up spontaneously with RPGs."

It was not premeditated (according to Petraeus).

As the "spontaneous attack" narrative fell apart in the days after Petraeus pushed it, lawmakers expressed anger, frustration, and disappointment that Petraeus did not avail himself of the very intelligence that suggested this was an Al Qaeda attack to begin with.

Petraeus: Benghazi Was Spontaneous Attack - Breitbart, October 29, 2012

--
Now, with so many of the adminstration's bald lies about Benghazi being exposed, PJ Tatler's Bryan Preston is asking not whether Petraeus was politicizing the intell, but whether he is "among the sources of the Benghazi deception."

Benghazi Burns and Petraeus Goes to Princeton? - Diana west, October 12, 2012

Somebody is trying to rehabilitate Petraeus, and Gingrich is being used to that end.

-- Who did Petraeus vote for this time around? --

I would guess that he voted for Obama. Not necessarily because he thinks Obama is a great leader, but because he thinks the tenor and direction of national policy, as implemented by the CIA and other agencies, would be better under Obama than under Romney.

This piece paints a different picture than what I would expect:

Knowing Petraeus' sensitivities to the faux-stimulus of what he has called in Senate testimony "Arab anger," such politicization, or, perhaps better, such Arabizing of the intelligence would likely come naturally to him. No stranger to politicking, Petraeus as CENTCOM commander engaged in what was described as an "unprecedented" political push in early 2010 on behalf of Islam's Israel-centered demonology in order to enhance Americas's military standing in Iraq and Afghanistan. This dovetailed neatly with his perhaps surprising take on Gitmo -- close it, its "existence has been used by the enemy against us" -- and his really shocking take on Hezbollah: "Hezbollah's justifications for existence will become void," Petraeus told the Al Hayat as reported in the Lebanese Daily Star, "if the Palestinian cause is resolved." Given this Arabist sensibility (and don't forget one of his thesis directors at Princeton was Stephen Walt of Walt & Mearsheimer), it's no stretch to imagine the man taking up cry of Islamic video-rage as well.

Benghazi Burns and Petraeus Goes to Princeton? - Diana West, October 12, 2012

I'd cast Diana West as an opponent of Petraeus, in any event, so take the above with a shaker of salt. If you click the link to find the blockquote, you'll find additional links. I read some of them, but haven't researched the material independently.

My gut tells me Petraeus is a skunk in the woodpile. Not that the woodpile isn't infested with skunks, like Hillary! and her sidekick Huma; Panetta; and of course Obama.

from the article: "Gingrich said... that he’d been told “by people in the room” that Petraeus had in fact been “the one guy” who said the Benghazi attack was an act of terrorism and not a protest to a video."

This is not accepted as true at Fox News.
Their major focus is: how did Petraeus claim it was a protest over a video, as in Egypt, when they already knew Benghazi was an organized terrorist attack?

Fox has never suggested that Petraeus did not blame the video.

I think you are right about MSM burying Broadwell’s 10/26 DU speech.

Did the NYT report it? That’s a big clue.

I know. Gingrich said it and for the life of me, I don’t know why. Then again, I don’t know a lot of things.

Could the women involved in this situation be operatives of the left, who lured Petraeus into compromising situations so that Obama could dump him down the road if he needed to?

Given that Holly Petraeus and Fauxcahontas are joined at the hip/lip, and that Petraeus is an enthusiastic Islamic Nation builder, and that he voluntarily joined the Regime, the simplest explanation is that he is a 'rat (a Stealth 'rat perhaps, but a 'rat none the less).

Thanks for the link.

Orca had been conceived by two men—Romney’s Director of Voter Contact Dan Centinello and the campaign’s Political Director Rich Beeson

Thanks, I am on it. I will see what I can find. Do you know what platform this was on? Was it office 360? Trying to narrow where to look at Microsoft.

I wasn’t there at Benghazi, but that event looks like a “Raid” and not an “Attack”. Basically, an attack is where you go in to take control of a piece of ground and retain it. Basically, a raid is where you go in and fight and then leave. The thugs in Libya didn’t seize and hold either location. Thus, it was a raid. They fought and left. Petraeus went to Ranger School. They learn all about raids at that school. Petraeus would have looked at Benghazi and asked himself, “Attack or raid?”. He would have seen the thugs withdraw and known, without anyone telling him, that this was a military raid. His next questions would have been, “What kind of raid?” and “Why?”.

Remember, McCrystal (Afghanistan) was taken out of the picture because he said something negative about Obama.

Timing is everything. This would have been a much better day for McChrystal to reminisce to the press about his first meeting with The Faultless One.

I have been looking, it appears they found the choke point was the server in Boston that all phones had to login to and jammed it. They then found a way to have the the credentials changed for all the people in the swing states and locked out the reset. I am trying to find out who the UNNAMED consultant is that worked with Microsoft to design the program. NOTHING OUT THERE.
One of the articles is from a web designer who was a volunteer. and he is shocked they would have used this type of design as it was crazy to think it would.

The app was web-based, not an actual mobile app, confusing some volunteers. It used an HTTPS connection and volunteers who tried to reach it by an HTTP URL weren’t automatically redirected. Landing on a blank page, many users took it as a sign the system was down
Denial of service at that ip would cause this, In fact that is what comcast reported that day in one of the articles. Where did that come form? I would love to have the ip number

WOW, these guys could help in many ways. Get you a password then help jam the ORCA system. WOW.

A Yahoo email account belonging to former CIA Director David Petraeus’ mistress may have been compromised by the group Anonymous.

The personal email account, which other sources confirmed belongs to the writer and veteran at the heart of this week’s Washington scandal, was revealed in the decentralized online group’s publication of millions of email accounts of customers of the commercial intelligence company STRATFOR.

The email appears on a listing of accounts obtained by the group after they hacked and stole credit cards from the company. Anonymous also obtained email logins to STRATFOR’s website — which potentially could have been used by Paula Broadwell for email or other secure sites — as well as correspondence.

It is not clear what, if any, information belonging to Broadwell may have been obtained by the Internet-based group, whose members style themselves “hacktivists” but whom authorities have pursued on a variety of charges.

Broadwell was reportedly under investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for allegedly trying to obtain access to the retired general’s classified emails.

Broadwell’s account, a derivation of her name, was also tweeted by the author and has been posted alongside a posting advertising that she was looking to interview high ranking women in the military. A Washington, D.C. political operative also confirmed that he had corresponded with Broadwell on that account
