It’s been two weeks since Hurricane Sandy killed 113 people, wiped out portions of towns, and knocked out power to millions. It has also been two weeks since Barack Obama pledged, “No bureaucracy. No red tape.”
However, according to multiple public and private sources, unions and union-related red tape are causing workers from out of state to be turned back, as well as workers contracted by FEMA, as well as tons of supplies, already in New York and New Jersey to sit idle—at a cost of millions to taxpayers.
It has already been well publicized though the Daily Caller how the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers demanded unionization of out-of-state utility workers in order for them to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

Despite the fact that there is apparently a news blackout—FEMA contractors are not allowed to talk to the press—Americans are shelling out tens of millions in taxpayer dollars for FEMA contractors to be paid while not being allowed to do the jobs they brought in to perform.

Of course, when they count our teeth, they conveniently ignore their own bridgework and implants.
They thing I learned after living our here for nearly 40 years is that there is a lot of money, education and sheer talent running American farms.
That is a very good point about the bridge work. People don’t realize what it takes to run a farm. Those guys don’t work 9-5 and they work weekends and even in the winter they work hard calving and fixing machinery. They are also shrewd businessmen. I am not a farmer myself but all of my wife’s family is.
We aren’t either, but we are surrounded by them and many are clients. These guys play the futures markets, too. NOT yahoos, but not above putting it on thick if it will give them a chuckle, put a slicker in their place or give them an advantage.
However, quite a few vote D. Hopefully fewer than last time. EPA isn’t making 0 any friends.

Your President only ‘goes to play golf’ with people on his staff who have been arrested for gay solicitation. Which is a surprisingly large number of them. Almost as if that were the criteria for their employment.
His ‘golf sessions’ are serial acts of adultery. But apparently only Generals get prosecuted for that.
