A shot across the bow! Perhaps Petraus won't be forthcoming to Congress with a threat of prosecution over his head.

Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it.

Until then, Petraeus is Obama's b!tch.

So they’ll prosecute Petreaus for adultery and don’t do jack vs “workplace violence’ with the Ft hood murderer? Don’t be bamboozled, what is thios headline covering up besides time consuming and tangents on the real issue,” Benghazi stand down, lies”...it was the video”. And on and ion.

I would recommend a commission be organized, let's call it the Phallus group. It would include Newt Gingrich,Barney Frank,Eliot Spitzer, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gary Hart, John Edwards with Bill Clinton as chairman

Are they saying you can prosecute a retired military person under the UCMJ?

It could be a game of chicken between Petraeus and Soetoro, each one has something on the other (Benghazi vs. UCMJ) neither wants pursued.

could possibly face military prosecution for adultery

And I have a bridge to sell anyone who thinks this is even a remote possibility.

If the crime occurred while he was on active duty, he could be subject to recall and UCMJ prosecution. To prove adultery, you need a very high burden of proof (something on par with a notarized sex tape with three witnesses for adultery), and a willing prosecutor. Once that burden is met however, the charges get piled on (conduct unbecoming of a commissioned officer, failure to obey an order not to get it on while deployed, poor command climate, etc...)

By this point, Patraeus has certainly gotten the council of legal experts, and having his depth and breadth of experience in the legally careful world of the general officer corps, he’s not going to do anything accidentally to make the case against him any stronger.

So basically the Chicago mafia(obama/hillary administration)had the goods on Petraus and gave him an offer he couldn't refuse(or he would lose his pension/benefits)by "offering him" instead an honorable discharge(securing pension/benefits) AND the CIA position....

...but only in exchange for his silence/cooperation on...what?

(whats that? sure smells like blackmail to me)

Perhaps Petraus won't be forthcoming to Congress with a threat of prosecution over his head.

I seriously doubt that. He may have been an adulterer but he has served his country with honor and will likely continue to comply with every request made of him by the U.S. and Congress.......

As for Martha's statement: "possibly face military prosecution for adultery "

More mud slinging against the proverbial wall in order perpetuate and continue the controversy....

The chances of the military charging Petraeus with adultery after he has left service are worse than slim to none. Even in the case of adultery while still in service, it is extremely difficult to prove absent pictures or personal confession.

IIRC, Petraeus has put no timeline on his alleged adultery. Additionally, it is also impossible, if he recanted his confession, to prove beyond his own word. He didn’t confess under oath, and he could always say there were politically expedient, personal, psychological, etc., reasons that he said what he said and then recant his confession.

The military is not going to charge him. He did this purely to help Obama with the Benghazi case.

For the FBI to say they found out about “adultery” would require them to prove penetration. I’m betting they can’t do that, and that the military wouldn’t pursue such a thing without rock solid proof.

Why would Obama put Petraeus in charge of the CIA? I haven’t looked it up, but I don’t believe Petraeus was a Military Intelligence Officer. Why put him in charge of the CIA? Panetta was a political appointment. Why does Obama put people he can control in charge of the CIA? That’s the government agency tasked to look at what’s going on overseas. Look at the blog chicagopaytoplay.com. There’s a three part story there on The Chicago Connection. Look at Aaron Klein’s reporting at WND. Look up the phrase RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT. Look up the International Crisis Group(ICG). Look at who is on the ICG Board.....George Soros. The dirty little secret Obama is really trying to cover up is that him and his buddies are starting wars in the Middle East to make money off them.

According to several sites - today - the FBI found that there was NOTHING illegal that happened and nobody knows why the story even was reported. It was over and it happened while he was at CIA not before...according to these same sites - New Yorker for one.

“A shot across the bow! “

Actually, it’s just the first shoe dropping. They’ll silence him for good soon. But first they wreck his life and publicly humiliate him. 10 gets you 20 if not. Any takers?

This will likely keep him silent. He might have resigned rather than take the blame for Benghazi, but this evil administration is still blackmailing him.

Lesson to anyone considering adultery or anything else you would be ashamed of, DON'T DO IT!
