The Obama health-care law’s adverse effects on employment are no secret. But it’s one thing to look at the economics, and it’s quite another to hear it firsthand from a small-business owner who’s being forced into an untenable position.

Yesterday, a Las Vegas business owner fired 22 of his 144 employees, phoning in anonymously to a local radio host and explaining how the decision was directly caused by President Obama’s reelection.

The interview is articulate and nuanced, worth listening to in its entirety. But here’s the jist of it, in the poor guy’s own words:

And more are happening....Galatia is in Illinois.

Over 50 miners at the American Coal Company’s underground mine in Galatia, in Saline County, are among nearly 160 workers being laid off in Saline County and a site in Utah by Murray Energy Corporation. The company said in a statement to the Associated Press Friday that it plans to give pink slips to 54 miners at its Galatia location and over 100 in Utah. It was not known when the layoffs would take place. A statement from Murray Energy blamed the move on politics, saying the coal industry is “being destroyed,” leading to the decision for the layoffs.

Is there a complete list of all companies considering layoffs and hiring freezes because of Obama? Someone should compile the list and everyone should be reminded again and again and again.

If obama gets his way, we'll most likely all be "un", or "under", employed.

The tax base will shrink as well, and entitlements will be endangered and eventually run out.

That's when the "fun" begins. It will be wailing and gnashing of teeth when da checks don't come. Stealing and crime will be rampant as people vie for food.

But, that might be what it will take to destroy liberalism. So far all they have heard is talk, and most of the talk is how "bad" conservatism will be for them. The takers have had no proof that obama is full of dung because he promises them things.

I know of a store where three of the employees are black, and they work part time, and have two other part-time jobs to survive...but still voted for obama. What has he done for them? Nothing. But they live on the "hope"...and hope is an excuse for doing nothing.

The only way to fight Santa Claus is let him go until his bag is empty, and his elves have been laid off due to the high cost of health insurance.

When he has nothing left to give, people will be wishing for a "White Christmas", for sure.
