School Children Taught About Gay Foreplay, Saran Wrap
Fox News Radio ^ | November 8, 2012 | Todd Starnes

A school district in Maine is apologizing after middle school students learned about homosexual foreplay during what was supposed to be a “Diversity Day” presentation.

“I don’t want my child taught heterosexual foreplay, let alone homosexual foreplay,” outraged parent Kristy Howard told Fox News.

The principal of Gorham Middle School sent a letter to parents apologizing for the graphic nature of the presentation by PRYSM, Proud Rainbow Youth of Southern Maine.

“They went beyond the scope of our intentions and discussed topics that we do not deem appropriate for our middle school,” Robert Riley wrote in a letter obtained by The American Journal. “We do not intend to expose them to ideas that are not within the scope of our teaching about responsible citizenship as it is embedded in our code of conduct.”

The incident occurred two weeks before the state voted to approve gay marriage – and involved a classroom of 25 eighth graders.

Howard’s 13-year-old son was one of those who came home shocked by the presentation’s graphic nature.

“They were talking about sex and if you didn’t have a condom – saran wrap could be used in place of a dental dam,” Howard told Fox News. “It was all new to me.”

Howard said the PRYSM presenters also cursed and questioned whether the children had been taught about safe homosexual sex.

James Hagen, chairman of the school committee, told The American Journal that teachers felt uncomfortable about the presentation and reported it to the principal.

“Teachers were in such shock,” he told the newspaper. “Everyone just froze.”

Principal Riley defended the way the teacher’s handled the situation – noting that the conversation about gay foreplay happened near the end of the presentation.

Anyone—from the principal down—who arranged this ghastly disgusting maneuver to subvert children into the gay lifestyle should be FIRED. I’d even love to see them jailed for corrupting minors. Absolutely inappropriate lobbying for a gay lifestyle!

Like the endless stream of “school reform”-ers, you’re seeing and addressing only symptoms. Your motivation is admirable, but you’re mistaken when you think the system can be salvaged by getting good people in the classrooms . . . An infusion of good people would not fix it, but merely legitimize it.

Public schools are here to stay, and "the perfect is the enemy of the good". Staying outside the system is the worst of all possible options. Unless you are arguing that public schools can realistically be eliminated within the next few years, I stand by my position that we need to reduce the harm that they inflict on our children and our neighbors' children. Even if public schools staffed by conservatives would not be as positive as universal home schooling, they would be a whole lot better than the status quo.

Weep for your children, America..They have come for them through the public school bureaucracy. No consequences will be forthcoming for those who have stolen precious innocence prematurely. Government endorses this through no meaningful response. My mind refuses to even contemplate what is ahead.

God I am so sick of this crap and calling these perverts “gay”. They are homosexual sodomites and need to be kept 1000 feet from any school.

The compulsory school system was not designed to benefit children, but to make them into good little human resources - among other goals.

Public school systems work well in a mostly homogenous society where there is general agreement about what should be taught to children, as there was for most of US history. Now they are viewed as the place to indoctrinate children into the views of any group that has enough influence to gain entry into the schools.

This is just one more aspect of the multicultural, diverse society that the elites have decided is best for America.

“Everyone just froze.”

If that is true, then absolutely none of them should have a position of authority over children ever again. They should all be fired.

Freezing when something like that is happening is not an option, ever.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

“This particular day didn’t have anything to do with sex. It had everything to do with tolerance and kindness and trying to eradicate from our building the idea that it’s okay to be mean to each other,” he said.

What a LIAR!

That kind of information has NOTHING to do with tolerance and kindness and EVERYTHING to do with corrupting the vulnerable, impressionable minds of young teens. They could live, grow old and die and NEVER NEED to know that kind of information.

The damage is done.

For all those people who claim it never would or could happen in their school, well it happened to SOMEONE's kids. You have no way of knowing yours won't be next until it's too late.

And in light of the election, GET YOUR KIDS OUT NOW. We're not on a slippery slope anymore, we stepped off the cliff.

Pollster1, you make your case well, and it's clear you've given the subject some good thought. Compulsory schooling is not reformable. The best we can hope for is, as you say, to mitigate the damage to children.

But rather than argue it further, I would encourage you both - and everyone reading - to listen to a fellow named John Taylor Gatto. I was introduced to him many years ago by a fellow FReeper, whom I can't recall but to whom I'm deeply indebted.

I've never looked at schooling the same since. (I was an excellent student in school, and had been an firm advocate my entire life - up until I began to understand it.)

Soon there will be posters stating the following:

1) We moved to a red county and it isn't going to happen in there child's school.

2) This isn't happening in our child's school. I know Mrs. Honey Bun. She teaches 5th grade. She is our church's choir director. My child's school can't be bad because Mrs. Honey Bun teaches there.

3) Get involved. Fix it. Run for school board. Join the PTA. Talk to the teachers. Organize the parents to meet with the principal. ...etc.

4) My child was offered a half-million dollars in scholarships. He/she was class valedictorian. Some schools aren't bad.

Saran Wrap?
Guess you would use Super Glue to hold it in place?

Why not tin foil?

Just another handy use of Saran Wrap....
I thought the ‘end’ had come when it was used to cover the bowl on an ‘old style’ unisex terlet.

That’s an almost three hour video. Can’t you provide a few key points you think are important from it? Few will listen to a three hour video from nothing but a link with little explanation as to the content of the video.

The “Homosexual Lifestyle” is about sex - on demand, without any consideration of consequence, and even anonymous. There is nothing else to it. Everything else is just a cover.

Haha! Yes, you're right.

Trouble is, the investigation into compulsory schooling is a lengthy one. Fortunately for us, Gatto has done most all the legwork for us. Besides having a sharp mind, he has an incredible memory - which likely helped him to connect the many dots.

Okay, here is perhaps a better, shorter one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UadPqGscfI

And a two-sentence summary of his argument:

The shocking possibility that dumb people don't exist in sufficient numbers to warrant the millions of careers devoted to tending them will seem incredible to you. Yet that is my central proposition: the mass dumbness which justifies official schooling first had to be dreamed of; it isn't real.

(If even the hour-long speech above is too much, try one of the shorter ones in the Youtube sidebar. Or do a search and pick one in which he addresses a subject of interest to you. If you'll give him a fair hearing, I bet you'll be glad you did.)

And I would encourage conservatives to get involved in educating children. As a long time Scout leader, I recognize that the public schools are not the only venue that provides that opportunity, but I would argue that, at least for now, the schools are an essential venue. We cannot afford to surrender that battlefield to those who would harm young children, nor can we afford to give up on the children of liberals and of uninvolved parents.
