SALT LAKE CITY — A story published Thursday by the Associated Press named Jon Huntsman Jr. as a possible pick to replace Hilary Clinton as Secretary of State, but the former ambassador and governor has stayed tight-lipped about the possibility.

In an interview with KSL, Huntsman spoke about the need to put the "country first" with a tough presidential campaign now over. He spoke about his own plans in very general terms, sidestepping a question about what's next in his future plans.

But we’ll still have pundits telling us that Huntsman should be nominated in 2016 because he’s electable.

Maybe they should try him out as ambassador to Libya to see if he is tough enough for the job of SOS. If he lives a year he gets the job, otherwise a very nice high profile funeral with a complete coverup and high praises from low class places and people.

Shrug. at least it’s a step up. I’ll take a Huntsman Sec. of State over a Hillary one any day.

I already doubt Huntsman will be it. Obama likes to silence some opponents, but I don’t think Huntsman constitutes the same kind of former opponent to Obama that Hillary Clinton was.

Too liberal for Obama ? Are you serious ? Huntsman is the only candidate that could have beaten him, actually.

Just let one half way conservative go Obama's way, they will be turned on because there is so much anger that Obama won (probably stole) a second reign

I’ve read that Kerry won’t get it because they’re afraid Scott Brown will run for that seat and win it. How wild would that be.

Kerry is too power hungry to give up SoS just to keep his Senate seat in the D column. He may be power hungry enough to realize that if he takes SoS, he’s effectively retired in four years though.
