President Obama tonight said he’s interested in seeing an assault weapons ban reintroduced, breaking his silence on the legislation, which has persisted in spite of at least five mass shootings during his term.

Now that he no longer has to worry about re-election he is free to fully pursue his totalitarian socialist agenda.

He’s not “breaking his silence on the legislation.” He’s mentioned it several times before to please the “upscale” part of his constituency and the same part of the constituency of the other party. And there’s been no such “legislation.” Quite a few bills attempting to be such legislation have failed.

The vast majority of voters in both parties push against any such ban. Firearms are in style, and a greater part of Americans are educated about the Second Amendment than for decades past.

All of that said, drive on. Run those stock and retail prices up. The trend and speech are fun to watch.

Years ago before the just before the California ban, Neal Knox exposed the fact that the Cali assault rifle law also included a ban on lever action rifles.

Eventually they will go after all of them.
