Oregon’s economy retreated in September, dampened by one of the sharpest monthly jobs losses since the recession.

A University of Oregon gauge that tracks the state’s economic activity edged down to a reading of –0.66, meaning the state is expanding slower than its normal pace since 1990.

Of course, this has no correlation to the fact that Oregon is a blue State.

You mean liberalism doesn’t work? Who knew?

How many failed socialist experiments do we have to have before people wise up? I guess it will never end. As long as people covet other people’s stuff, we will have liberalism.

Good, I hope a lot more people in Oregon loose their jobs! Elections have consequences and the “Oregonians” have “spoken.” Now accept what you idiots have done to yourselves. As John Wayne said, “Life is tough, but it’s tougher if you are stupid.”

Obama will be glad to declare amnesty for the illegals in OR, which seems to ve the answer in any crisis. That should really help....

Yep, not much sympathy here for blue staters losing their jobs, or not getting their power turned back on for a month.

“Don’t buy anything made in Oregone and don’t vacation there or hold meetings there. Go to Idaho, Utah and other red states.”

+1. I like to reward red states with my travel $. In addition to your states, I like to support Wyoming, partly because I love Yellowstone NP, but also because they are solid red and NO STATE INCOME TAX.

“Of course, this has no correlation to the fact that Oregon is a blue State.”

Oregone went enviro whacko over 2 decades ago and declared an eco economic war on farmers, ranchers, loggers and anyone who made an honest living harvesting what they and nature produced.

The anti people green thugs made Spotted Owls, other critters and scum fish endangered species and stopped logging/ranching and farming in many areas.

They have stopped harvesting of dead trees after fires and droughts. They have let roads into remote areas become impassable and ofter over run by blackberries.

Unfortunately, many so called conservatives in the conservative counties suffer from a mental breakdown. They say they are conservatives and yet vote for and allow the green eco terrorists a free reign.

California sent many of its rabid gays and socialists to cities and counties to grab control of the local governments again to get rid of any honest business people.

Portland has been controlled by left wing thugs for decades. Those thugs keep restaurants from expanding or opening new restaurants. They have forced out good construction people with their costly permit processes and layers of red tape which is about the only task left wingers do. Of course they get great pay and benefits and retirement for sitting on paperwork.

Don’t buy anything made in Oregone and don’t vacation there or hold meetings there unless the business/vacation’s sites are in a conservative county. Check the map link below. Go to Wyoming,Idaho, Utah and other red states for your vacations.

For some reason these map makers made the conservative counties blue and the left wing counties in red.

Your comment is very timely.

My wife’s siblings live in a very blue midwest states.

After Obama was elected in 2008, I told them that we wouldn’t fly back and visit their blue state.

So this past summer, we were discussing where to meet and have a vacation. The midwesterners suggested Colorado, and I said no do to the liberalizing of Colorado.

We decided on Wyoming and the Yellowstone area then, and now we will figure out when and where.

Come to Florence. Move to FLorence, on the breathtakingly beautiful Oregon coast. It is in Lane County (Eugene). It is full of retired people and many are conservative. But because of the crazy mapping of the county lines along highway 126.....Florence is intertwined interminably with Lane County politics.

Portland has two million people. The whole state has only 4 million people. When Portland is dictating what the rest of the state can do....it is awful for people who live out in the “real world”.

And yes, there are a number of Californians who have transplanted as things went bad south of the border.

I don’t know how long we will live here, but there are many good conservative people in Oregon! Just not enough to balance out Portland, and the influx of those who are attracted.

We are considering where we will live the rest of our lives. It probably won’t be Oregon, but please don’t dismiss us. We are fighting the good fight.

And adding: Okay, maybe you don’t want to move here. But there is no sales tax, so if you come visit and buy things....you won’t be contributing. Veterans can camp free for a number of days monthly in the state parks.

Yeah, I figured that. But, it is a national park, so why shouldn’t I enjoy it? Plus, my money spent around that area supports Wyoming.
