Not until they declare a “meat” day. To declare a “meatless” day without a corresponding “meat” day is discriminatory (to use a favorite lefty word!).

“I think this is a great idea.
With fewer people in the market for dead cow, that means the prices will have to come down.”

Until the farmer says, “Hay! (pun intended) I’m not making any money on these cows. It’s time to grow something else!”

Supply goes down, price goes waaay up.... (Time to trudge out in the snow after a deer)

And the first thing he did was ban Kosher slaughter.

Twenty-five plus years of meatless everyday here...under no one’s direction but my own heart.

And, yes, I occasionally miss bacon.

Some wit could have fun with this, by proposing a “Beat a PETA” event. Start by putting a dummy, labeled PETA, and dressed as a fool, in stocks, then encourage people to call it derisive names and beat it with whiffleball bats.

Maybe they were subliminally giving the illegal aliens a message that they should refrain from sex on Mondays. It would ultimately reduce the load on the maternity wards in all the LA hospitals and their welfare rolls.

Looks like a good ol USSR. Thursdays were meatless days in a name of public health. No beef, pork or lamb were sold or served in restaurants. Still, it wasn’t all veggie because thursday was actually a “fish day” in Soviet Union.

I have abstained on my own account every day for 21 years. I don’t preach to others about their decision, but it has worked well for me and for my health.

I and my wife are with you Doug. We are both in our sixties and really can't "pass" all that meat we used to eat, (putting aside the teeth/chewing ability).

We eat meat 3-4 times a week and fish/veggies the other days. It really does help with the digestive system, not to mention the morning visit to the porcelain throne.

We also use a lot of probiotics during the day.

Why should I eat the food of my food? I’d rather have Pork mondays.
