No doubt this is a precursor to the kinds of healthy living rewards good Americans will come to expect under ObamaCare.

I already abstain from meat one day each week, but I don’t do so on Caesar’s orders.

Today, voluntary. Tomorrow, mandatory.

Which is just as well. What with democrats controlling California and the white house, no one will be able to afford meat on mondays. Much less on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, etc, etc

If they had proposed meatless FRIDAYS the ACLU would be in there so fast putting a stop to it because of the religious connotations.

It’s time conservatives started calling Vegetarianism and Environmentalism religions and challenging government actions in the name of those causes.

Dear Leaders - Would you please tell us what we SHOULD eat? We’ve obviously been doing it wrong for so long, and without YOU guiding US low-life underlings, we would still be on the wrong track. Maybe you could just make us menus-for-life, or perhaps on Monday mornings little things would come out from Those Who Reign to tell us what to eat that day.

Otherwise how are we going to LIVE? Might be better if you just made everything illegal that is BAD for us (in your minds, of course) and everything free that is good for us. The bad rich people could pay for it.

STEAK MONDAY for me.

My meat consumption is down now due to financial restraints. And we’re just beginning the next leg of the four years of Hell.

I have abstained on my own account every day for 21 years. I don’t preach to others about their decision, but it has worked well for me and for my health.

They never stop, do they? They just grow more and more tentacles. This is a small reason why the countries should split. Their thinking is alien.

Grass is not food...grass is what food eats. :)

Don’t be so hard on California politicians. After all, they have solved all their other problems and have absolutely nothing to do. They know their fine citizens don’t want to pay them all those big bucks for just sitting around looking pretty.

Hate crime against meat eaters by trying to stigmatize against them.

I live in Maryland, and it’s rough here hoss. Living with liberal Democrats aint easy, but thank the powers that be I am not in California, where Las Angeles wants meatless Mondays and San Francisco is paying to mutilate the mentally ill with trans-gender operations for free..

I think this is a great idea.

With fewer people in the market for dead cow, that means the prices will have to come down.

More Tri Tip for me. Grilled up medium rare, after marinating a day or two in my own secret sauce.

Yum.

Beans and rice are going to be on the menu for sure, but not for vegan reasons.
