Mitt Romney's sister blames media's vilification for brother's loss

New York - Mitt Romney's sister Jane has come to the defense of her younger brother slamming media over the way they had treated the Republican Presidential contender, and blaming them for making him lose the White House race.

Jane, the eldest Romney sister, told Inside Edition about how she felt the media "vilified" Mitt after it was reported that he traveled with Seamus, the family dog, strapped to the roof of their car.

"He was my dog...It's a crate. That's how they travel. Here's the deal. All these stupid little stories are fabricated and it hurt," the New York Daily News quoted her, as saying.

Jane, 75, also said that Mitt's wife, Ann, has not been taking the loss particularly well.

"She was crying. She was very emotional. For Ann, it was definitely shell-shock," she said.

"She won't want to be in a race like this again," she added.

According to the paper, Jane explained what she thinks went wrong with the campaign, and blamed her own family for not doing enough to help him secure a win.

"I feel like our family could have helped more. But we were scared we'd be on the 6 p.m. news, misspeaking," she added.

Guys, a thread about Seamus, is the wrong thread to be insisting that no one talk about Seamus.

Have you ever seen a dog or dogs riding in the open bed of a pickup truck? How about a kennel trailer? Can you explain the difference between those and a kennel attached to the top of a vehicle?

Yeah, I am aware the thread is about the dog, the sister who they shipped it to, to get rid of it after the trip, the media reporting the sick abuse, Mitt’s lies and insensitivity over the years about claiming that the dog loved it etc. and how it revealed something about the pathological liar during the campaign for conservatives and freepers, and the freerepublic truth file on Romney.

I’m even aware of the Planned Parenthood supporting, pro-abortion wife of the most hard left, pro-abortion, radical homosexualist to ever contaminate the GOP.

-->>>know many, many people who wouldn't’t vote for Mitt because of that dog story. They called him inhumane and there was even a website called “Dogs Against Mitt.” It has thousands of people on it. Never mind that zero voted 3 times to allow babies who survived botched abortions to die, they jumped on the treatment of the dog, yet ignored zero’s inhumanity toward humans.

People love pets more than humans in some cases.... those single women in my work office tell me it's about their right to control their own bodies not for the government to order them in what to do.. that's how they see it and come back to pro life rebutal. They tell me it's none of my business. Government tax payers should not pay for abortions and parents should be notified for under age kids. You cannot force a person to not go in a clinic. Well, you can, though I guess you would end up in jail once they got to a phone..we live in a play party society and it's becoming worse...Now, we need a tough stance and good people in leadership until that happens, we are sorta lost.

NOTHING would work with this man, people who voted for him don't care. They just don't. He gets a skin color pass just like the guilty whites do in this culture for most minorities. Never holding them responsible for anything, lowering standards to make sure they can pass the test, blaming whitey for any bad behavior because of “institutional racism.”
Look at the fat slob Matthews on MSNBC. He called any kind of attack on zer0’s policies racist. People here LOL at him and said he was hysterical loon but, there's a entire country of brow beaten loser white people who have been taught this black victimization and to hate white culture as being oppressive.

ANY personal attack would have garnered feelings of sympathy.

What in your little mind is so wrong with crating a dog and securely strapping him to the roof? People put animals in kennals and throw them in the part of an airplane that’s hot and loud. I’ve seen kennels being pulled by cars, or horse stalls. WTF is the difference? For that matter my dog hangs it’s head out of my car window the entire time we’re on a road trip. Actually having the animal in the car loose is more dangerous for the pooch than being secured outside in a kennel/crate.

Do you mean to imply that I’m some kind of a false conservative who probably voted for Obama because I dare to state the obvious? Yes, I voted for him.

Sorry, not buying that people wouldn’t vote for romney because of the dog story. Most people don’t know about it .

By the way, my dad put our beagle in the front seat of our outboard boat we were towing. She loved it.

If that’s how the Romneys felt, they shouldn’t have gone along with how it was done to Sarah Palin and acted like she was radioactive to them.

Had they actually fought back against what the media had done to her and the tea party—and not decided that whatever they did to the base themselves didn’t matter, because the base “will always turn out”—they might have had more and more fervent supporters when it counted.

(Though I’m not convinced that sufficient votes weren’t cast for Romney anyway.)

Our country is on the precipice. I love animals, but Romney’s dog is not important...really.
