'Affair': Paula Broadwell and David Petraeus, pictured, reportedly had an affair that led to his resignation

CIA Director David Petraeus dramatically resigned today after allegedly having an affair with his biographer, it has been claimed. The alleged affair was uncovered after the FBI launched an investigation into the biographer, Paula Broadwell, for allegedly hacking into the former general's email, NBC News and Slate reported. Broadwell, who researched the book 'All In' for three years, had extensive access to Petraeus in Afghanistan. Yet sources told NBC it is unlikely she will face criminal charges after the alleged hacking, stressing that Petraeus himself is under no investigation. Petraeus stepped down today after confessing to cheating on his wife of 37 years, Holly - behaviour he explained was 'unacceptable' for a senior administration official.

Just read that his wife was the daughter of the superintendent of West Point. Those (Admiral Fallon among others) who called him a shameless self-promoter appear to have been right. Let’s see if he’s capable of shame now.

Good riddance.

Petraus and his wife sound like that are both pretty smart, except that Petraus worked for 0bama and his wife for Fauxcahontas.

Sounds like both are dumb as 'rats.

She’s got a ring on her wedding ring finger.

She's married to a radiologist and lives in Charlotte. They have two kids. Hopefully, Dr. Broadwell will forgive her for the sake of the kids.

I have to admit she’s attractive. I am single so it doesn’t matter.

Amazing! You can hack the e-mail account of a four star general who is in charge of an entire active theater of war and they won't do anything to you.

Just try and get into the Hawaii Dept. of Records though. They'll have FAST teams on you in ten minutes.

Repeating my question from another thread, I wonder if Petraeus ever convened a court martial for adultery committed by a subordinate...

Thanks. I wanted to know when she graduated. I wonder how old her children are, too. And when did she leave the military.

This seems suspicious, I think there’s more than what they’re telling us. A democrat having an affair isn’t exactly a scandal. What are they actually covering up?

We will see if Petraeus is an American patriot. We’ll see if he was forced out to avoid his testimony. If he loves this country he will tell all to the American people and no subpenas or testimony before congress will be needed. If he doesn’t talk and others do his legacy could be as traitor rather than hero. Too many people were involved, too many know the truth. It will come out.

The timing of this tells us all we need to know. It’s clean-up time after the cover-up.

She entered West Point in 1991...but would have graduated in 1995. Paula Krantz.

Say I am wrong... so flame me... but, I don't believe this convenient lie.

Regardless of anyone's thoughts or feelings about Gen. Petraeus this " scandal " some how just shows up weeks after what happened in Benghazi and right after Obama's re-election ? ... sorry folks, Gen. Petraeus is the fall guy.

I agree. It does not matter. But not because of your reasoning.

Forced to quit by The Usurper so he would not have to testify against The Usurper.

?

Why wouldn't he testify before Congress after being subpoena'd?

Broadwell is a graduate of the Sandra Fluke slut academy.
