I wondered what 0bama was holding over his head to make him come out and lie about Benghazi. I think this is a pre-emptive move as 0bama was probably going to burn him anyway. Personally, I couldn’t care less if everybody connected with this president spontaneously burst into flames.
The Director of the friggin’ CIA cannot under any circumstances leave himself open to charges that he may be vulnerable to blackmail. He has no choice but to quit.
Y'know, I've been thinking all day that all this tearing up by Obama isn't because he's touched by his campaign supporters.
I think he was part of the cover up. He didn't have the guts to stand up to Obama and his cronies. The CIA head told the men to stand down. Petraeus already lied to Congress and said it was the video. He went along with the stupid story concocted by Obama’s top officials that night
He's getting out to save his own skin.
Why even mention he is leaving because of an affair? He could have said personal reasons.

Actually, who’s to say there was an affair at all? Perhaps he made up the story, cleared it with the wife, and is using it as a pretext to get out of the Obama cabinet before the SHTF.

My grandfather taught me that there is one thing that no man can not take from you, your integrity/honor. He said that to lose it, you had to give it away and once lost, you can never get it back.

There is no man in a high position who had an affair, no matter how guilty he felt, no matter whether he told his wife or didnt, who would decide he needed to resign from his high position.
No way, no how.
Unless someone found out and threatened to blow it sky high unless he stepped down. Or threatened to blow sky high even if he resigned.
Which meant if he wanted to escape blackmail, he would be thus forced to resign and confess. No man does that otherwise. His hand was forced.

Everyone assumes that he had the extra marital affair. Anyone consider it might be his wife that had one? Funny how it is naturally assumed it is the man at fault. (not saying it isn’t, just noticing the trend)

A Friday afternoon “dump.” Just as Benghazi is heating up? Doesn’t pass the smell test. Something is awfully rotten above and beyond Benghazi.
This “affair” seems small (given the loss of 4 Americans) but its like one more little bit of mortar coming out of the Obama Firewall. No doubt more to come...it’s only 3:30 in DC.
It is strange that Hillary, Holder, and Petreaus are all leaving or in the process of leaving. Is it the rats fleeing the ship before the crap hits the fan or did the boss give them their walking papers? We should all be suspicious. It’s not like the Sec of Ag or Interior submitting their resignations. These are big time cabinet posts and the people who led them would have some knowledge of what happened in Benghazi.
We’re in for a bumpy four years and this Benghazi incident is about to blow up. So much for the hopes of a smooth second term.

Of course every primary voter had ample evidence Romney was a serial flip-flopper, not to mention his ties to many failed companies which made easy fodder for ads accusing him of layoffs, hurting the middle class, the same ads Kennedy killed him with in 1994.
Nevertheless the voters nominated him because Coulter, Drudge, Medved, Prager, Bennett, Krauthammer, etc. all pushed him, often backing him up on his assertion that he was a "severe conservative," just what we needed. Now that he lost, some of these same people are calling for the party to become moderate, despite Romney agreeing with Obama half the time in the debates.
Will he still have to testify ?
Uh no...They'd never involve a wife like that, as the potential for an ugly "reveal all, spill the beans" divorce are always present.

Next step is if he plans to testify truthfully to threaten his family. He stays quiet or someone dies. Isn’t that the way it is done? Or maybe he has already lost someone.
My guess and it is just a guess, is that they have been holding this over his head for a while and that is the reason that he accepted the CIA post, when he really wanted to resign.
