Since this is “The Age of Obama” what is the name of the man with whom he had an affair?

He probably wants to stay clear of Team Zero when the SEALs do a military coup on the White House. Pray to dear God.

Fox News is confirming the affair - reading letter from Petraeus to his employees.

On the day of the attacks on the mission and a nearby annex in Benghazi, General Ham and other commanders were in Washington for a series of long-planned meetings.

Assuming it’s true, you really don’t see a CIA director being potential blackmail bait as a problem?

If every politician in Washington DC resigned who had an affair, there wouldn’t be too many left.

There is more to this story. I don’t believe it was an affair. He is going to be thrown under the bus. He may deserve it, but Obama, Biden, Hillary, Panetta, and Dempsey need to be under that bus too.

In a Democrat admin, that’s a badge of honor! Something else is happening ... Here comes the next Benghazi chapter about to unfold. This is going to play out like Nixon’s Watergate which broke before the election, but wasn’t covered until after the election...and then it brought him down. Nobody died in Watergate, men died in Benghazi.

I wonder if the BFN (aka - "Bathhouse Barry") will step down as president?

And, Boy Biden carrying two cell phones, one for his wife and the other for his "girlfriends." Will he step down?

Nah.

It wouldn’t surprise me. There seems to be an increase in the rate of generals who hold us mere serfs to the standards they set while violating them as and when they wish.

The Army wants to focus on “fat” Soldiers...maybe they should start weeding out duplicitous, phony, hypocritical senior leaders (both enlisted and officer).

TMI.

Sheesh. If the guy feels like crud and thinks he should resign, fine.

Just say it’s for “personal reasons” or something suitably vague.

Terrible to tell the whole world you’re an adulterer. Maybe it makes him feel better, but I’m embarrassed for his family.

he owes it to his country to come clean even if it harms his marriage.

The spineless twit could have done this before the election, traitors all. Maybe he could have used the CIA resources to tell us who this man is, but no he waits until after the election and wusses out.

Waiting for the rest of the story.

And Hannity is taking the day off after his turnabout on amnesty. Don’t know if it had been announced before showtime.

This is starting to sound like a military coup. All the high ranking naval officers,Seals and now Petreaus. On top of it all we can’t even prosecute a mass murderer at FT Hood because he has a effing beard.

Did the Obama administration know this I wonder? He may have just removed the threat that has been keeping him silent.

Maybe he just sacrificed his personal life (which he was ruining anyway) to free himself to speak for the Americans who were left behind adn can no longer speak for themselves.

Outing himself diffuses the coming attack.

HEADQUARTERS Central Intelligence Agency

9 November 2012
Yesterday afternoon, I went to the White House and asked the President to be allowed, for personal reasons, to resign from my position as D/CIA. After being married for over 37 years, I showed extremely poor judgment by engaging in an extramarital affair. Such behavior is unacceptable, both as a husband and as the leader of an organization such as ours. This afternoon, the President graciously accepted my resignation.

As I depart Langley, I want you to know that it has been the greatest of privileges to have served with you, the officers of our Nation’s Silent Service, a work force that is truly exceptional in every regard. Indeed, you did extraordinary work on a host of critical missions during my time as director, and I am deeply grateful to you for that.

Teddy Roosevelt once observed that life’s greatest gift is the opportunity to work hard at work worth doing. I will always treasure my opportunity to have done that with you and I will always regret the circumstances that brought that work with you to an end.
Thank you for your extraordinary service to our country, and best wishes for continued success in the important endeavors that lie ahead for our country and our Agency.

With admiration and appreciation,
David H. Petraeus
