When 23-month-old Lucie Linforth became ill earlier this month with a fever and what her parents thought might be a chest infection, her father took her to their family doctor. While they say she looked "extremely poorly" and her lips were turning blue, the receptionist told them to wait. And wait they did -- for more than hour.
According to the girl's father, Eric Linforth, 33, he went up to the reception desk four or five times during a 70-minute period of time, and was told to sit back down without anyone even giving his daughter a glance. At one point he was shown a sign that said anyone who was being abusive to the staff would not be seen. Finally, as the poor girl sat there physically deteriorating, he told them to call an ambulance. It was too late.
An investigation is underway although her death isn't being treated as suspicious, according to the Daily Mail. But Lucie's family is working to prevent such a tragedy from happening to others, and so far their Facebook page has garnered support from more than 30,000 people. They say won't stop until they receive some justice and see some changes in the system.
It obviously won't bring Lucie back; nothing will. But hopefully her story will prevent such a tragedy from ever happening again.

I’ve got young children adn all have been brought up conservative and the oldest has already brought his pals round to conservatism seing as most parents today do not care raising their kids
The receptionist handled this very very badly - but then she may have no medical training.
If your baby’s lips are turning blue, she belongs in the ER, not waiting in a pediatrician’s office which doesn’t have oxygen and IV meds.
I’ve already tol my kids to not have children.
But they never listen to me anyway.
my foster mother lives in England, she is 82.
SHe needed knee surgery and was refused, she was given pills.
Her Doc did an appeal and won it, he;s just retired as he;s had it.
She got the knee surgery 3 years later.
She called me and tld me the date of the surgery but then tld me she has to call the night before.
I asked why and she replied
“because they might not have a bed for me”
Another time she watched her husband die of cancer on her couch whilst he waited to get seen and checked for cancer
That was about 5 years ago I think.
Trust me my mother had to share a hospital room with 15 other women as the hospital is from the second world war and old and falling apart.
Have babies, lots of babies. The future belongs to those who claim it.
People have always brought babies into a world of struggle and suffering, but there is something about the last century - the material ease of the West and the dreadful wars of the West - that make that struggle and suffering unacceptable.
Why shouldn’t your children have children? Did your great-great grandparents have it easy?

I have children and wished I had more than I do but could nto afford anymore.
I don;t like food stamps and think we raise our own children but we do need conservatives to have more kids for the future of this country.
That is your kids are conservative as I raised mine and my oldest is only nearly 15
or how about republican votes which were not counted whilst Dems, got their 110% turn out in some counties, amazing hey how some counties got over 110% and yet the GOP is silent
