Most of us are, by now, familiar with the maps the TV channels and web sites use to show the results of presidential elections. Here is a typical map of the results of the 2012 election:

Our votes WERE stolen. I don't believe for a moment that more people turned toward Obama. No way, no how.

Here is a comparison map I did from 2008 to 2012

Interesting that these two maps closely resemble each other:

Don't be surprised. The US 2 party electoral process has been screwed for 30 years. Its like if the NFL aka the owners(the major banks) only have 2 teams. The fans cheer and yell for their favorite teams and the owners take home the advertisement/drink/food revenues.

Think SCYTL or any type of electronic voting. The pundits both “conservative” or “liberal” only serve themselves and their masters. No matter what “party” gets in nothing changes.

That big blue chunk of West Texas is sparsely populated and pretty much ruled by El Paso. If you look at the mad on a county-by-county basis, the there is more red there. The Republicans are making inroads in there; Pete Gallego barely won relection and Jose Canseco is contesting the election because of charges of vote fraud. If anything, the state has moved further to the right.

Yep, but even ol’ Pete Gallegos is facing a legal challenge on his re-election. Jose Canseco contends that there was voter fraud and is challenging Pete Gallegos’ re-election (he squeaked his re-election bid).

Cartograms by physicist Mark Newman that treats the data like a diffusing fluid are another interesting visualization:

Michigan is less than 10 years from becoming right to work. We crushed 2 pro union constitutional amendments the other day and even have conservative union members advocating right to work as a job creator for all.

I've not yet found a map of congressional district results. That is where the real story can be told. Looking at this breakdown of Florida it is easy to see that the winner take all process of awarding electoral votes favors democrats and will continue tom do so. In Florida, Romney would have gotten 17 electoral votes instead of none if they used the same method as Nebraska and Maine.

Texas is in real danger of going completely blue because of hispanic infiltration. It’s only 10 years behind CA. Went to Houston a year ago and went to the local Wal Mart. Might as well have been in Juarez....or LA.
