Staten Island resident William Boden interviewed by phone. Staten Island has been abandoned. No electricity, no gas, no heat. People without shelter, clothing, food, water. Staten Island is gone and will never come back. Obama and Bloomberg lied to us. Red Cross absent. Promised FEMA aid absent. No aid of any kind. People lost all personal possessions in flooded, wrecked houses.

They should thank Mother Nature, for giving them a chance to go green and enjoy big government’s service.

Staten Island is probably the most Republican part of NY. Guy Molinari is the borough president. They were most likely not a bastio of support for obama. That’s why they’re suffering now.
I would take this with a grain of salt. I know someone who lives on Staten Island, and he told me (2 days after the storm) that he never lost power.

Many years ago, when stationed in West Germany, I had a tour on the East-West border. I used to stand and look over into East Germany with my eyeglasses and see what life was all about. They were in rags. Dirt poor. Using tractors from the 1930s to plow their fields or using HORSES!!! They were in abject poverty. The West had it high on the hog. I knew what communism was and did to people. I hope those who wanted this crap are happy. We are going to become East Germany. Secret police, gulags, missing people in the middle of the night as the secret police drag them away screaming and people keeping quiet so they won't be next. Yup. Enjoy communism folks. THIS is what it is like. The biggies have theirs and everyone else has nothing. Its coming. Full speed ahead.

When you have a Democrat Liberal / Leftist U.S. and State Governments - and Catastrophe hits and destroys your everything -— You have NO LEVERAGE with the U.S. News Media to bring pressure on the Government .. I have a friend who fared just as well, but has another family staying with them because they lost everything. My brother lives in Brooklyn, and had power restored in a couple of days, but also has friends from Staten Island who lost everything staying with him.
I am trying to feel bad.... but it’s not working.

Oh yes, no question, there are a lot of people hurting on Staten Island, but it’s wrong to portray the entire island as a wasteland.
If any residents that voted R need a wood and coal fired warm meal or drink then they are welcome here in WV. My faith is in the power company and coal fired generators to restore modern life down here.
Government agencies are best at taking money from us workers, not helping those that really need it.

If only Fox is reporting this then it isn’t news. Staten Island should be given back to nature and the Indians..just a couple casino’s and hotels and nature. It would be beautiful.
We have a friend with lots of family in the Rockaways. They have gotten zero help also.
