Seven members of the secretive Navy SEAL Team 6, including one involved in the mission to get Osama bin Laden, have been punished for disclosing classified information, senior Navy officials said.

The seven received letters of reprimand and forfeited half of their pay for two months after a Navy investigation found they had served as paid consultants to the designers of “Medal of Honor Warfighter,” one official said.

Basically a slap on the wrist....HOWEVER, they will lose their security clearances for sure and that will end their career.

The Seals did not diosclose much, they just showed the software developers some of their kit so it could go into the programming.

This is Obama beat down of the military.

And now Obama has outed 6 Navy Seals who soon will be unemployed, looking to hire on with the highest bidder?Yep, just what we need.

“...Navy Seals who soon will be unemployed, looking to hire on with the highest bidder?...”

The highest bidder should be one of the variations of Galt’s Gulch that we should all be drawing up.

The story is out there; but no one speaking - yet - on behalf of the SEALS so that we hear 'their' interpretation.

No one should doubt; the contempt that the Left, holds for our Military. And their willingness; to take every opportunity to express such.

That and some Senators and Congressmen have leaked top secret information in the past and probably still do but let’s take our military to task....they’re easy targets in more ways than one. Just DAMN!

Unless someone is looking for a homosexual boy/girl friend, I do not know why any young American would go into todays military.

My thoughts exactly. They also could become Tea Party Fund Raiser’s par excellance, taking booty from rich Arabs and posting it off shore for weapons purchases on their occasional sojurns from Atlantis.

I agree. Sandra Fluke is more of a hero than any member of the military to much of America. Think about that for a second.

Not sure what classified info has been exposed by the seals, I played MOH and its just a standard FPS blaster where you walk around like a human aircraft carrier shrugging off bullets whilst running and gunning against an inexhaustible supply of pixalated enemies...

I highly doubt they disclosed classified information.

The LOR will ruin their careers. As for their clearances, unless they claim something to the effect of “yeah, I knew I was disclosing confidential mission information in exchange for payments” they will probably retain their clearances. However, taking money is the worst aspect of it. Their re-investigations will take a while, that’s for sure. They’ll probably be transferred to guarding barges first. I.e., a transfer to a job which doesn’t require a clearance so there is no authorization for a renewal, ergo no clearance.

On a philosophical note, as the late Mad Dog used to say, “ A letter of reprimand is better than no mail at all.”

Any Navy Seal can hire on with a private contractor for way more than the military pays. We are just hurting ourselves by letting good people go.

Could probably make more consulting with a video game company than risking life and limb unprotected under the corrent President anyway.

Obama would leave people hanging in a second if it served his agenda.
