Awkward first press conference for senator-elect Warren

A jittery U.S. senator-elect Elizabeth Warren gave one-sentence answers, ducked questions and even passed one on to Gov. Deval Patrick in an awkward first press conference since the election.

Warren spoke for a total of less than four minutes during the 11-minute press conference — the rest was taken up by Patrick and reporters’ questions

After being asked her first question — how she’d protect defense spending — Warren was silent as she turned to Patrick.

“Defense spending is you,” Patrick prodded Warren.

Where were these questions a week ago? Would any sane person sign a 6-year, non-terminable, employment contract with someone they never interviewed?

Own it, Massholes, or at least the 50-whatever percent of you that voted for Fauxcahontas. She’s yours for the next six years. Enjoy it.

I have a real lack of tolerance and sympathy for liberals right now. Probably because of some of the attitudes I saw among my liberal acquaintances on Tuesday night.

You know what would be funny? Let’s make a big deal about the First Native American Woman in the Senate!

Wow I never thought I’d live to see the day. This is a wonderful example of diversity and inclusion! Imagine, after al these years, an Native American gets elected to the US Senate!

Her looks are fine—probably above the average for a male US Senator.

But she is not very bright at all.

Just a corrupt ideologue.

Still, if Ted Kennedy’s formidable team of staffers coalesce under her, they could be a force in the senate, with her as their puppet. (They have experience at that. They are also very good at constituent service, so we should expect her to hold the seat for a good length of time.)

I am not sure if anyone else has made this observation but I have a theory about Warren. She is 62 years old-a bit late to start a senate career. So she does one term at most.
She is keeping the senate seat warm to be handed over
to a Kennedy, probably the one that just got elected to congress from MA. Kennedy was not ready for the senate but will be in six years. It would not surprise me if Warren
steps down in say four years-Kennedy is appointed to fill out her term and runs on his own in six years.

Boy, what an idiot!

The damage she is going to inflict on the country in the next 6 years will be great. I think little will be done directly to Massachusetts as they are a lost cause but, her votes in the coming years will contribute to the overall damage to the country and especially to those red states which are antithetical to her positions.
