George P. Bush, son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and nephew of former President George W. Bush, has taken his first step toward running for office by filing an “appointment of a campaign treasurer” with the Texas Ethics Commission, according to The New Republic.

Let Jeb and P fight it out and knock each other out.

The Bush name has become tainted in politics for decades to come.

Even 2012 exit polls showed people will still blaming Open Checkbook George for most of the economic problems.

Well. In addition to his pedigree, he is a Navy veteran who served in Afghanistan. Plus he’s half Hispanic (which is a bonus for the GOP).

Downside: His last name.

Great. In my adult lifetime, every Republican president will be a Bush. Just shoot me now.

We Americans sit and sneer at Britain with its queen yet here we are sporting the same type of aristocracy. Why can’t all these bushes and Kennedy’s and Clinton’s just F off? Haven’t they done enough damage???

No. I didn’t know the views of said person.

Only that we judge a person not by his last name.

He could be the best candidate in the country, but democrats have poisoned the “Bush” name to the point he will never get a fair chance.

Not that it matters, but George P Bush doesn’t look *anything* like Jeb. Gotta wonder if the wife cheated on him, given her personal problems and all. Heck, I can’t tell if Noel is Jeb’s biological daughter. Whereas it’s pretty clear GWB’s daughters are his flesh and blood.

Downside: His last name.

No problemo gringo

His birth name is George Prescott Garnica Bush, the Garnica from his madre, Senora Jeb Garnica-Gallo Bush, she is Mexican-American.

he is a Navy veteran who served in Afghanistan.

*****************

Interesting tidbit about his Afghanistan deployment.

Snip
Bush also has Navy service on his resume, including a six-month deployment to Afghanistan, where, for security purposes, he was given a different name. Not even those he was serving alongside knew he was a Bush.

End snip

Let him run if he wants to. I wouldn’t write him off just because his last name is Bush. Also, he likely isn’t running for anything big, maybe just the Texas House.

Have I ever tried to do anything but tell it the way I see it? It is your mind to make up and no one elses. Conservatives lost in part because we cannot unite. We either unite or fall. Until then... I will speak truth to evil.
