Here is offered a ranking based upon freedom...and other aspects for those considering immigrating to greener pastures. After this election we can no longer say...well at least we still live in the most free nation in the world...indeed, I think in reality we will take a nosedive on any reality based ranking.
No surprise the socialist countries, USSA included, are declining in terms of economic freedom. The only surprise is the USSA is as high as #10. It won’t stay there much longer as Obamacare’s strangling tentacles expand their hold.
Hong Kong seems nice
I have a very good friend who just moved back to Hong Kong after being here for 47 years! He is enjoying it...the only caution I would put out is that Hong Kong is fully owned and ruled over by the Chinese government...and while they have been moving towards free markets there is no gaurantee whatsover that they will continue that. And, on a lifestyle aspect...after living for so long under totally secular government and society trust and honesty in ethical sense are rare...
I personally am considering Ireland or Canada.
You are correct...they also may be influenced greatly as the democrats here want to spread their filth worldwide...like they already have been actually. Is Chile a stable place?

Here is a hard reality we must; the truth is there is no freedom anymore. Not for the common man. Now, if you could crack your way into the high-society or upper-echelon business circles in some south american or southeastern asian country, you can live pretty well. But as a mere commoner? Not anywhere.

Actually Honk Kong has been moving away from freedom if anything. Since the ChiComs have take it over, it’s not quite like it used to be under the British. It’s been pretty slow since the PRC does seem to realize that they can’t screw with the golden egg layer, but nonetheless they keep appointing toadies to the top position there, and things are eroded very gradually.
I look at overseas options and to be honest I don’t see much. This is primarily because I like my guns. Your options if you want to live elsewhere and still keep your guns:

Don’t really know of anywhere else, and becoming a Swiss citizen is extremely arduous. Even then with EU membership I don’t know how long the gun freedoms will last even there.

concur! And, some of those countries in the second from the top category are not religious-freedom countries either.
You are right—there is no place left on earth that is free. Our country is forever changed, and the republicans will never get control of the entire country (president and senate and house). Too many people will be on the public dole and will not have the desire for it to be any other way. Generational expectancy of government handouts will be the norm for everyone. Conservatives are a dying breed, as are entrepreneurs and small business owners. And, if they live in Colorado or Washington, as long as they have some change left for weed, that’s gonna be their way of coping.

Not Canada. The NDP are poised to take over the government next time there is an election. You think the democrats are bad, they can’t hold a candle to the NDP!
Chile has been on it's present course for roughly 20 years. I'm not sure that's enough time to make such determination.
Thanks...I will have to research it...not even sure if I will leave the nation yet. We may just move to Utah or Texas...we live in Illinois and I am sick and tired of this government here. Problem is I have hard assets (real estate) that I need to liquidate first...will probably take about a year or so.
