The reason America has the trillion dollar war monger Obama as president today is because of immorality and materialism in America. President John Adams once said,

This is about what I was thinking last night. Also, I thought about the blessing and cursing promises of Israel. Obama, through his actions, has cursed Israel, and he was the president. Could it be that the country will now pay for this?
Freedom was never meant to operate outside of God’s laws and mercy. It was not God that people were born to be free from - it was tyranny.

My first post in Free Republic forum. All the way from the land Downunder. Wheat and chaff. Two Americas. In the blue corner are the subjects of what you could say is analogous to the northern kingdom of ancient Israelites. In this kingdom live the hedonists, religious synchronists and assorted collectivist idealogues. In the red corner are the subjects analogous to the southern Judah kingdom of Israelites. In this kingdom the subjects follow the traditions handed down and are seen as dull and provincial by the northern sophisticates. God is not an embarrasment to them but a central pillar around which its constituents construct societal proclivities. make any sense? Amongst the coffee houses of the ‘northerners’, great american thinkers who carefully crafted a document to serve as bulwark to tyranny and as a salve against European centralisation tendencies, would be thought of as provincial and ‘behind the times’. Men of the calibre of Thomas Jefferson & John Adams would likely be torn to shreds were they to strut their stuff in any major blue city in contemporary U.S.A.
