America, A Quaint Memory....
Original Content | Nov 9, 2012 | By Laz A. Mataz

It appears the America I knew and loved will be a quaint memory.

By whatever means, the forces of the extreme left have undertaken, and apparently succeeded, in performing the coup de grace on a staggering nation.

The causes of their Presidential election-year victory are many. They include:

Fraud helped tip this election. While it is entertaining to think of ways to unseat the benefiters of such fraud, it is not likely to happen. The fraudulent results shall stand. And, the fraud will snowball, as those who benefit from the fraud make sure no laws can be enacted to prevent fraud. It will increase, and it does not appear there is any recourse to stop it.

Demographics helped tip this election. This is another unrelenting trend. Single mothers will not lessen any time soon, and these women tend to view government as a caretaker -- and so they look to Democrats. There is talk in the Republican camp of loosening immigration standards and, probably, amnesty for illegal aliens. Therefore, we will continue to see an inexorable rise in the number of Latinos in America. I say this without judgment, but merely as an observation. However, they vote predominantly Democrat.

And as our students are relentlessly taught morals and values that the extreme left holds dear, the adults who will stand by our side, and eventually replace us, will continue to add to the numbers of the extreme left citizenry.

What can we expect?

  1. A Republican party who, pointlessly, will shift far to the left. They will not capture any more votes than the Democrats, of course. But they will try.

  2. No more Republican Presidents, ever. George W. Bush is very likely the last Republican President you will see in your adult lifetimes.

  3. Congressmen and Senators will be increasingly Democrat, until, as in California, there will be a supermajority in both Houses of Congress. In short, American politics will become a single-party affair.

  4. Firearms ownership will be drastically curtailed, via a UN Treaty that will subvert, if not supercede, our Second Amendment. The world looks at America as an oddball, and the world wants our guns gone.

  5. We will be increasingly Socialist/Communist. Socialism and especially Communism destroys innovation, strips hope, and makes poverty universal.

I, your humble author, wish I had better news. I wish I had a solution to all this. I don't. Perhaps someone smarter than I can come up with an idea.

I will mention this: The solution must be Gramscian in nature, that would allow us to slowly subvert the forces of Marxism. Gramsci was a Marxist himself, and he came up with the concept of a 'political society' (which rules through force) and a 'civil society' (which rules through consent). The Marxists understood this and realized that the most powerful ideological shifts can only come by the will of the people. The failures of Nazi Germany and the USSR generally show the Marxists that force is a poor substitute for civil will. It should show us the same.

There are those among us I hear speaking of a complete collapse of the US economy as a solution -- a reset button, if you will. Does anyone seriously believe that a government that would follow would be MORE like the America of liberty and free enterprise that we yearn for? Remember, the citizenry (with great voter fraud help) voted Obama back into office after a miserable four-year leftist performance. Even without the voter fraud, there still remains fully half of America that holds the ideals of the left as sacrosanct. We can dismiss the 'reset button' idea as impractical and unlikely to achieve our goals.

Any solution we undertake will be and must be, multi-generational. We will not live to see its fruits. There must be a meeting of great minds to start determining a long term course that will help return our land to the liberty and the love of free enterprise we once had.

I do have some good news. It appears that the left is not choosing to kill its enemies, at least not yet. I hope they continue to remain nonviolent. If they have studied Gramsci well, they probably will remain nonviolent. Political force is ultimately self-defeating.

If that remains the case, we can still pursue our lives. We can raise our children, marry, laugh, love and honor our God, and enjoy and build the best life we can, albeit at a lower standard of living than we have had. I recommend that, while still searching for a solution to these issues, each and every one of you do this very thing. We have no control over the nation, ultimately (though we can impart our small spin) so enjoy your life to the fullest!

Okay true enough, but here is something true enough too. Laz, you and I both know, they will eventually come and do what we most dread. We will not fire the first shot, and will never fire the first shot (at least that is what I believe), but have the first shots not already been fired? They will come Laz. They always do.

Demographics my ass. Tell Karl Rove & Co to shove their demographics. Get back to the Reagan basics of conservatism. This is America, land of the free, home of the brave. God, family, country, Liberty! Always has been, always will be. Those communist pinko bastards can shove it.

The way things are looking, I am wondering how many will have jobs come mid-term. I feel panicked and I’m am not quite ready to give up. I was until a few hours ago, now I am ready to go again.

This election hit me in the gut hard! It was as if I was seeing all the corruption for the first time, and I realized that we were in deeper trouble than I had been willing to admit. It broke my heart. I gave up for a bit.

I’ve wiped my tears and blown my nose—I’m done with that.

I’m listening to music from the 1930s today...I find it appropriate.

Obama voters are calling the fiscal cliff “scaremongering” and they are in denial about what’s coming...I call it reality.

I don't see this as being the case.

Pundits like to say that the US in the hands of the progressive will become more like Europe.

On the contrary, I see society and politics becoming much more like Mexico than like Europe.

The Republican party will change over time to resemble something like the PAN party in Mexico, and as such will contend successfully on occasion for the presidency.

The Republican party will not be like it was in the past, but neither will American society.

Laz, all I have left is my peace of mind ... would like to keep it. Is difficult every time I take a look ahead. Kind of like, no, don't believe your eyes and what is seen, remember peace of mind. Okay so the difficulty, and the loss was difficult, lays ahead. I too think we should look to the future and keep the rose colored glasses off our eyes. The last paragraph of your piece was uplifting. We have no choice now but to move with the crowd ... Forward, even though we know Forward this time means a huge step to the end of the line, or back of the line. Have tied my knot in my rope, as best I could, and am hanging on for dear sweat life. May not work but I'm trying. So FRiend know this ... I Love Ya!

Laz I said when he won the first time that we had just had a bloodless Coup d'état most denied that. I also said this man has no intention of ever leaving the presidency, I will likely not live to see that proved.

The only hope in this life is Jesus Christ, but I am pretty sure that will soon be a crime of some sort, to even mention His Name. Already true of military Chaplains.

The world will suffer the loss, but God will have his day.

We are not without cautionary tales which would appear to apply to the current situation. The Biblical accounts of Baal and Dagon, and the demise which befell those who turned to these “alternative” religions, coupled with the works of Ayn Rand, and most particularly “Atlas Shrugged”, spell out the consequences of deliberately turning back from paying attention to hard-won traditions and what was formerly acknowledged as common good sense, for new and experimental social standards.

Among the more prevalent of postings, the words “layoff” and “rationing” are becoming quite prominent. The nation is at a point of contraction and retrenchment, that is going to make the near collapse of the economy in 1938, under the New Deal, seem like a mere overcast dawn. Because we have so much further to fall, the arrest at the end of that fall is going to provide a wake-up call for even the most intransigent and doctrinaire devotees of state-run command economies.

Of course, the wake-up for them might be just as they are being strung up on a lamp post, when it may be a little late to beg forgiveness, as witness Benito Mussolini or Nicolae Ceausescu. But something about the blood of tyrants watering the tree of liberty....

You see, we have not lost, we are only at the wrong point in the swing of the pendulum. The trick is to give it a restart going in the right direction.

It may be time to think outside the box. Rather that to try to keep the integrity of the current geographical boundaries of what is known in the atlases and world maps as the “United States of America”, trim back and slough off those parts that have chosen to describe themselves as “blue” America, and carve out a near-contiguous republic of what could be called “red” America. Largely, this would follow state lines, but in some instances, it would extend across the current state lines into whole counties within those states that would also embrace the “red” America concept. While the “red” part of the map is almost solid, the “blue” part of the map is badly fragmented, and in some instances, is not of sufficent size or resources to be self-supporting, but apparently up to now, this has not been a consideration, as they could successfully leech off their more productive neighbors. But if the lines of distribution are cut off, it would be surprising how fast an attitude adjustment would take place. Just see what is happening in Staten Island, where Mother Nature and the bureaucratic New York City government has effectively stymied any kind of meaningful recovery, the supposed presence of FEMA notwithstanding.

In fact, the whole northeast portion of the country is getting a fetch upside the head, as the combined forces of Superstorm Sandy and the current nor’easter sent a one-two punch to the region. Most of the current woes were made much, much worse by belated decisions, and for following a doctrinaire agenda, in which only union labor could be allowed to come in and perform clean-up duties, and only the “approved” charities were allowed to provide assistance.

But it sure made “the Won” look good just before the election, to these people.

To steal from Milton, the GOP-e would rather rule a big government than serve a constitutional one...for now we must all pester our senators and representative to unseat the RINO leadership first—threatening to withhold THEIR money should get better results.

"...But take a look at the markers. The demographics, the snowballing voter fraud. Just running a conservative won't fix those..."

In states with Voter-ID, the nation did OK.

Since Dims also complain about Republican voter fraud, we can expect the Dims to expand those Voter-ID laws to the other states. /s

I got mine from Gettysburg, Pa. When I first went looking for them just after Obama’s first election, they were hard o come by. Last year we went and they were everywhere. The lady in the shop told us that lots of people wanted one.

Here’s a site online that sells them. At least they’re made in America.

IMO we need Texas or it’s game over. The takeover state is Florida. One might think of Florida as the Italy of a thousand years ago.

IMO, Texas is Park Place and Florida is Boardwalk because there’s so much coastline and international tourism, even without the rat in Orlando.

On this game board there are properties in between we already own: N’orlans, Miss, Alabama.

Those five states are geographically capable of housing and employing every one of roundly 100 million conservatives in the US, and we could let in millions more (vetted) conservatives every year, of all income and skill levels, from every corner of the earth.

Property values would rise steadily, making it difficult for poor and middle income people to make it except the cure for that will be prosperity, charity, and property taxes inside of 1% of value.

If there’s no minimum wage the rich business owners who pay seven bucks an hour can be shamed. There’s many a dirtbag on “our side” paying as little as possible because they want their employees showing up early in kneepads begging for a 5 cent per hour raise. They will literally rape their employees if they can get away with it. Of course these people aren’t really on “our side.” They’re RINOs. I even knew a “Republican” like that who put a sign up in front of his megagun store for a Democrat who was “pro-Second Amendment.” Then when he was doublecrossed he felt like a victim and vowed to never put up another sign for that candidate ever again.

(He had plenty of employees to take it out on.)

Contiguous states to the north and next past them are almost all “Republican” states.

A state like Indiana, where I moved when I worked at Tony Rezko’s bank, represent the new frontier. It might become dangerous and scary to live there (a police state as it is) because it’s landlocked on three sides but if it holds, we keep it. If it goes, it goes. We don’t need it. I have a vested interest in Indiana holding and still I say that.

It would be nice to have a port on the Pacific. It’s probably not going to happen. We give up New Mexico, Arizona, and the entire West Coast.

This is off the top of my head—the board might play out quite differently except I’m about sure that all five Gulf Coast states are fully necessary.

Folks this goes Back to the Immigration Reform act of 1965 championed By The old Lion Of the Senate Ted Kennedy. Google Immigration Reform act of 1965,then read the Floor speeches By Kennedy who Chastised the Republicans who said this was going to Change the Demographics of the United States,Kennedy Claimed they were Racists and Fear Mongers.
Well since that Reform was Passed about 65% of LEGAL immigrants to this country have come from Third world Countries,Those with dictators and with no Knowledge of what it means to be Free. So do you still think this just started a Couple years ago? Think again this has Been coming incrementally for decades,it is entrenched ,the Tipping point has been reached,The puppet masters know thats why they Knew they could elect a Pure Marxist and they would have the votes to reelect him.
The sad part is that so many of our own Neighbors are so ignorant and Stupid

****Single mothers will not lessen any time soon, and these women tend to view government as a caretaker — and so they look to Democrats.****

Yes indeed: The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world!

If American men want to return to a Nation that respects and appreciates husbands and fathers as leaders - they need to stop impregnating every tramp who offers ‘free sex’. It is not free to taxpayers. These are not ‘unplanned’ pregnancies - they are planned payment centers...or aborted for ‘convenience’. Our children are paying the price of pornographic lifestyles and immorality. Men: WAKE UP!!
