**EXCLUSIVE** Senate Minority Leader: No Tax Hikes ("Read His Lips")
Breitbart ^ | 8 Nov 2012, 3:46 PM PDT | Ben Shapiro

Posted on 11/08/2012 7:23:57 PM PST by Red Steel

With conservatives across the country concerned about a rumored Republican cave-in in Washington, D.C. over tax policy, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is speaking out. Read his lips: no tax hikes.

McConnell said in an exclusive statement to Breitbart News:

One issue I’ve never been conflicted about is taxes. I wasn’t sent to Washington to raise anybody’s taxes to pay for more wasteful spending and this election doesn’t change my principles. This election was a disappointment, without doubt, but let’s be clear about something: the House is still run by Republicans, and Republicans still maintain a robust minority in the Senate.

I love our quiet inside the beltway career tough talking before caving minority leader. He and his beltway wife really aren’t in it just for the money and power...er...wait....nevermind.

McConnell was the one who worked so hard with his BFF Dingy Harry Reid to undercut the TEA Party House freshmen during the July 2011 debt crisis by forcing through the whole stupid Plan B/"Supercommittee"/sequestration scheme.

Screw him!!!

Yes I’m pretty soured by our assclown career politicians. In fact whomever is keeping the French Revolution II list should put him in the top 100 for the first train out of DC.

Pretty funny photo up on Drudge right now, headlined “Read my lips.”

Funny but sad. . . . We get to pay the taxes.

Weasel. He’s not ruling out a tax increase. Only one that’s for “wasteful” spending.

taxmageddon cometh.

Yeah, and they wonder why the working class tax payer doesn't bother to come out and vote for them anymore. Why bother? Vote for who?

We’ve got to continually rack it into these GOP-E brains that there is NOTHING of benefit to play the role of tax collector for ‘RAT profligate spending.

Easy words for him to speak.

When Reid changes the Senate filibuster rules, there won’t be anything he can do about it.

He’s exactly where the GOP-e are the most comfortable; able to protest what the Democrats do without being able to do anything to stop it.

No tax hikes? Really?

You’ve got a month and a half to convince the President and Harry Reid of that because all anyone has to do is do nothing and we get the largest tax hike in history.

So I guess you want to cony
tinue to kick the can and mortgage the future? That is exactly why Obama won. They keep getting more free crap that keeps getting put pn the credit card. Time to raise taxes and hang it on the democrats when the paychecks get cut. Otherwise, the democrats keep winning.

Reid knows that Obama intends to pick up four or five current senators to fill top end federal jobs ~ and that leaves Harry in a pickel because until those guys are replaced he's not the majority leader.

He imagines he can move quickly on some risky scheme if he gets the filibuster rules out of the way now.

BTW, the Republicans will vote unanimously for the appointment of any Democrat senator to the cabinet ~ just to get 'em out of the senate.
