Roy Moore is known nationally as the Alabama Supreme Court chief justice who was kicked off the court for refusing a federal court order to move a Ten Commandments monument from the courthouse. Moore ran for the office again and won in the primary in spite of being outspent.
"We opposed about $3 million with about $600,000 and won by over 80,000 votes in the general," he details. "That was a pretty good win."
Judge Moore says a slate of Republicans was seated on the court by voters, and he believes they will strive together to uphold the U.S. and state constitutions. He adds that unless God is a part of the process, one cannot fully appreciate the Constitution's restraint of powers.
"You have no way of appreciating the nature of law in general -- i.e., that there are moral laws that the state is bound to and we have no basis for freedom of conscience if we do not acknowledge God," Moore notes.
"So all those things combined together are very important reasons why we must understand what God's relationship is with our courts, with our law and with our country."
He asserts that people formulate their own definitions of right and wrong when they do not understand where the concepts originated.

Judge Moore spoke to our Ohio Tea Party group two years ago. He is a man of honor, courage and conviction. I'm thrilled he won.
Thanks for posting this! Good news!
Hopefully, there is a lot more of that coming.
Shove it, Feds.
Up your Obama.
Alabama and its Judges do have some insight here...and usually right!
God Bless Judge Moore.
That’s good news bud.
He is my kind of man. We need millions more like him.
Very good news.
I needed to know about this—yes, a little ray of sunshine!
Thank the good folks that voted for him too!
Great read - even if you don't agree with him, he lays his argument out so well that you will at least understand where he is coming from. Part of the problem he has is many don't make an attempt to understand his position.
Disclaimer: I have voted for him on more than one occasion so take my opinion with a grain of salt
I find it very offensive when shopping to have muslim female clerks in their head garb and filthy long skirts at the cash registers. They are exploiting their religion on me.
Wow! This is wonderful news. Thanks for sharing! YEAH!
