America Commits Suicide

I had hoped that the majority of voters would elect Mitt Romney, but instead of a man of character they chose charisma. They ignored four years of failure and deception. In advertising, they say “Sell the sizzle, not the steak.” Romney, sadly, lacked sizzle.

Obama’s victory was one of a long line of Progressives from Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Jimmy Carter. It was not new, but it will likely do more damage on top of what his predecessors have done. It turned out that there were not enough voters from the faith-based communities. You know—the kind of people Obama said “cling to their religion and guns.” There were not enough from a range of population subsets to make a difference.

Like New York’s Mayor Michael Bloomberg who thought a marathon run through boroughs devastated by Hurricane Sandy was a really good idea, Obama has never had any real sense of how people feel about things that are important to them. Why should he?

Do you homework, simple math here. It’s over there is not surviving the next 4 years. This was the only chance to get real reform on the social welfare programs that are destroying this country. Romney did make that clear in the debates and that is all I was hoping for, that America had a clear choice and understood what it was voting for, it did and it did anyway. When he takes the money out of the economy through taxation it will result in more job losses and less revenue overall it is a snowball effect that’s coming he will never bend to real social welfare reform the entitlements will do us in best case scenario, America has 10 years left.

"This defeatism is such bullcrap."

Agreed. And Obama doesn't even sizzle.

That will end up being one of the great mysteries of my life. I've always thought Obama is one of the worst public speakers ever....

And apparently I'm the only one on planet earth that thinks it.

Only 1% of the population was responsible for keeping Obama in office. Hardly a rationale for committing suicide.

You aren't getting it. Obama was the most radical, destructive, and incompetent president we have ever had when he was holing it all in to win re-election.

Obamacare will be the end of decent health care and create another forever entitlement when we can't even pay for the ones we already have.

Obama has already run up $6 trillion in debt and has nothing to show for it. Now he will increase taxes, which will further depress the economy and as a consequence, tax revenues at the same time spending goes into warp overdrive since the republican house is preemptively surrendering on that issue.

The defense industry is already starting massive layoffs and that is just the first round before the fiscal cliff hits.

Our credit rating has already taken a hit when it was a reasonable assumption Obama might be stopped.

Obama was bowing and scraping to every tinhorn dictator on the planet from day one. He has turned his back on every ally and embraced every enemy on their terms. Now Iran, North Korea and every other rogue state has 4 more years to promote terrorism and proliferate nuclear weapons uninhibited.

With all this, the nation still elected him. I am curious as to what exactly he would have to do to actually lose.

That is what national suicide looks like. In four years we won't be able to recover even if Washington, Lincoln and Reagan walk out of their tombs to lead us and we wouldn't vote for them even if they did.

454,393,280,417.03

That number is the interest paid on the debt in 2012 that is nearly 1/2 trillion dollars on an average 15 Trillion debt. Interest on the debt is historically low right now roughly 3.29 percent the average interest rate is 6.5 percent if that rate returned to average and no new revenue or cuts in spending occurred the government would be required to put out 40 percent of its revenue just to pay the debt, do you see the snowball picking up steam now and growing so large it destroys everything. Again without serious entitlement reform we are toast, oh and by the way Obamacare not even listed on the USDEBTCLOCK yet but we know it already adds 2+ trillion to the defecit over 10 years so add that in too.

in re: the “more votes for McCain than Romney” statements circulating FR:

http://hotair.com/archives/2012/11/07/looking-at-the-national-exit-poll/

John Podhoretz: “As I write, Mitt Romney has 57.4 million votes. John McCain ended up with 59.9 million. It’s a little noticed fact that in two weeks following every presidential election, votes continue to be reported…by the millions. As I recall, Barack Obama got something like four million more votes in the weeks after election day, while John McCain got two or three million. It’s likely that by Thanksgiving, the final vote tally will show Romney very close to or even slightly exceeding McCain’s total.”

I love Palin so this is not a dig on her. Just telling you, our voters did not particularly stay home this election.

In 2000 there were 45.6 Million Retirees and SSI
In 2004 there were 47.6 Million Retirees and SSI (+ 2 Million over 4 years)
In 2008 there were 50.7 Million Retirees and SSI (+ 3 Million over 4 years)
Today there are 68.1 Million Retirees and SSI (+ 17.4 Million in 4 Obama years)

We are in some deep dodo.... The people are not returning to the workforce they are claiming mental illness and disability and it is destroying social security for everyone but the Democrats are promoting this and the media is silent.

See for yourself do the math USDEBTCLOCK.org

I remember sitting and listening to an Operations Order briefing from a unit I was visiting. The Operations Order finished and a time for questions was started. One young Captain kept asking questions about enemy actions that were clearly impossible. Finally, the Operations Officer, a Major, had had enough of these questions. He gave the Captain a Field Grade Face Freeze and started screaming.
“What will we do? I tell you what we’ll do! We’ll just f***ing surrender! How’s that, you idiot! We’ll just f***ing surrender! What an a**hole!”
Well, of course they didn’t surrender. It’s like I told the guys on the basketball team I coached, “It’s only a defeat if we don’t learn from it.”
Yeah, we lost an election, but we’re not defeated. If you want to give up, well, I guess I’ll just have to carry you.
During the battle of Midway, a group of American torpedo bombers attacked a Japanese Aircraft Carrier. Every single American plane in that group was shot down before they could get close enough to sink that Japanese carrier. The crew on the Japanese carrier were extremely happy and excited. Except for one Japanese Officer. I think he was the Air Group Commander. A junior Officer asked him how he could be so glum after they had destroyed an entire group of American planes.
“They lied to us”, he said. “They told us the Americans had no Bushido (warrior spirit). The planes at the rear of the formation saw the first planes being destroyed, but they kept coming. They have Bushido.”
The Democrats are Democrats first. Us Republicans are Americans first, and Americans keep coming.

I think you missed my point entirely. This isn’t about blame this is about the rape and pillage of America. The election is a loud and clear cry that the blue urban areas of America will come out in large numbers to fight for their freebies. There is a serious scam going on an it is not getting the investigation that it deserves. From 2000 to 2008 an average 500K persons per year went on SSI. 2008 to present saw 4million per year. The SSI scam called CRAZY MONEY is what the inner city URBAN BLUE areas are doing and they are all voting for the RATS that allow them to rape America this way. Most people aren’t paying enough attention, when Romney says increase of over 40 percent on welfare under President Obama we who care about the fiscal sanity of this country get it, but those millions who don’t see it as an effort to deny those in need when in fact those in need are living better than those working for upward of $30K per year. The country is done it cannot be sustained.

All of the votes have yet to be counted. When they are, Romney will surpass McCain in total votes. The true numbers won’t be known until around Thanksgiving. They are changing daily. CA has only reported 70% of its vote. WA 55% and many other states are still counting.

This election was another impetus needed to finally divide us into two nations. I do believe that patriots and conservatives now control 30 states. That’s up from 26 after 2010. Look at the maps for the past three elections. We are dividing to live with our own political and philosophical kind. I’d guess the separation will be formalized within the next seven years. I’m not surprised by this.

This isn’t the end of America; it’s the beginning of two separate Americas.

No, I got your point. If you want to get even madder, look at the numbers for foodstamps. We already have socialism. The Democrats are redistributing wealth from the taxpayers to the tax takers. We barely lost. Even if it was just you and me voting Republican, I’d still keep after it. The Democrats are just grifters. They aren’t giants or supermen. We have to quit playing nice with them. A Democrat like Obama gets elected and he opens up the public treasury to buy votes. That’s actually an easy fix. We close the door to the treasury and put a lock on it.
I have had my behind kicked. I know what that looks and feels like. We didn’t get our behinds kicked. It was a split decision, not a knockout. It truly is only a defeat if we don’t learn from it. We’re Americans....we keep coming.

And if the same small percentage swung in our favor, we’d be claiming America awakened.

Stephanopoulos suggests the only option the Republicans now have is civil war. Do you like having the Leftwing Media shape your image, destiny, and the direction of the Country?

Instead of deliberating the “Death of America”, how about discussing information reform?

Speak for yourself. I would be relieved we dodged a bullet but very concerned for the future. This should not have been a close election.

Stephanopoulos suggests the only option the Republicans now have is civil war.

Stephanopoulos is suggesting that the liberal wing of the republican party fight and defeat the far-right conservatives like Romney. Does that clue you in to how worthless it is to listen to the media for advice or try to change how they portray republicans?

We haven't had a real conservative since Reagan, but how much better off would we be if conservative voters had not sat out half the elections since then waiting for perfect candidates?

They ignored four years of failure and deception...the voters may have ignored, but Obama can't - even while he was spinning the lies that everything in the economy and the nation's affairs was fine, he knew that it wasn't, and it's likely that looking forward he's much more concerned about what's going to happen and how bad he's going to end up looking than lots of those who voted against him.......

I’m pretty angry at Americans right now to the point where I want to give up on them. DeToqueville appears to have been right. It is perhaps the truth that we should count ourselves lucky that we had at least a taste of freedom and liberty before that unavoidable day when the People lost their honor and began to loot each other.

I agree, America will not survive the next 4 years. That does not mean American will end in 4 years, just that the die will be cast. Like a glutton who is Obese for 40 years likely won’t die at 40, just the stroke or heart attack is already baked into the cake.

Or a person who doesn’t change his motor oil for 30,000 miles. It doesn’t mean the engine will blow in 30,000 miles, just the damage is done and there is no repairing it.

In 4 more years, the permanent damage to the US body politic will be so extensive, that the decline and fall of the USA will be a foregone conclusion, even if we last another couple of decades before the collapse.

It is over. The US experiment is over. We don’t survive the next 4 years. The die is cast.
