Well.. since Savage has asked a caller to do the maligning of a fellow Cumulus talk show host I will go ahead and post this.

Who was so wrong about the election that they should be kicked off the air? Savage wants to know.

Let me guess.

Hannity! Ding ding ding.

Levin, Limbaugh also would do.

Hannity was on KSFO for years before Cumulus purchased KSFO. He's still there. So now Savage is continuing his attacks on Hannity and his other competitors. Not a good idea.

Levin is also on KSFO and has been there before Cumulus took over. Levin is Cumulus I believe.

Limbaugh was on KSFO but was replaced by Huckabee when Cumulus purchased the station.

Hmmm, caller gives Savage chance to bash Limbaugh, but he doesn’t take the bait. The old Savage would’ve pounced on Limbaugh, is this the new, gentler Savage?

RE: "she [may have been] a plant to try to get Savage in trouble with Cumulus."

Savage quickly asked her to go ahead and bash Levin.. he himself could not do it now that both men work for Cumulus.

If she called to try to get Savage in trouble everyone now knows how easy it is.

I wish Savage had asked her for examples, also. It would have been very interesting. Both are favorites of mine but it is sooooooooo boring to hear them brag about how everybody steals almost all their material.

“new, gentler Savage”

He doesn’t seem as cranky with the new syndicators.

He just maligned Limbaugh with an insulting name, Limp po -- I think it was po. Probably it is something that is slang for the male sex organ.

So it is the old Savage.

But it does remind me that Limbaugh told the most obscene joke ever on radio.. and I do not mean the farding joke.

Savage brings up good point, one that I thought about, what good did talk radio and Savage do when we ended up where we ended up anyway? Be sad, depressed, mourn a awhile, then pick yourself up and find the motive to fight on, sounds like Savage has decided it’s worth continuing the fight. Being right is a reward all its own.

RE: the new, gentler Savage?

No sooner spoken then Savage unleashes on Limbaugh..

Reminds me of Dan Rather in Red China just hours before the Tiananmen Square massacre. Rather assured everyone that Red China was a kinder, gentler nation.

Yea spoke too soon, but the callers are the ones bringing up Limnbaugh’s name, not Savage.

Goodnite D.C., thanks for maintaining the Savage thread thru thick and thin. Too bad Rock and Mary Lou Levin don’t appreciate you like I do.

Savage wants to be Number One.. that has been so obvious for at least ten or 12 years.

I have said that he is the best radio talent that I've heard on radio since I started listening in the early 1940s.

He will never be Number One. He's too petty and self-centered.

I listen to both of them. Many times they are both saying the same thing, just different ways.

RE: "the callers are the ones bringing up Limnbaugh’s name, not Savage."

Now come on.. that's how talk radio works. Often the host is dying to talk about something but the effect is greater if a caller mentions it.

I think one of the more notable Rush names is “Rush LimpBalls”
Rush is still the king, and obviously the prime target for
his competition. Prior to Dar.fm, I paid to have Rush 24/7.
While I can say that I am a Savage fan, I could do without his castigation of his competition.
Everyone has their own style and place in the market.

Yes both are critical of Republicans.. both are critical of the shenanigans of lawyers.. other ways that do not come immediately to mind.

I too listen to both. Savage since the mid 1990s. Levin since he started on KSFO.. before that he was a frequent guest on KSFO.

Levin is the Constitutional lawyer and expert. I've read Men in Black

Savage is the health expert. My wife and I bought and like his Herbs That Heal.

Levin has made legal challenges to C.A.I.R. and has dared them to come after him.

More than anyone Savage has been outspoken against the Islamist terrorists -- so much so that he's attracted the attention of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

.. oh and I just noticed. There is one difference. We are in the third hour. Levin does all three hours. :)

I love Savage’s Healing Children Naturally. When he first came on our local station, I had no idea when I started reading/buying his “Savage” books, it was the same guy. lol

He’s like the cranky uncle and he used to complain about Levin screaming and sounding like “groucho”.

memorex? I do not know. He sometimes starts the hour live but switches to memorex. Sometimes it seems that the bumper music tips off the listener when the show resumes after the first commercial.

I've already switched off the Internet connection to KSFO. This time of night even my C Crane Select-a-Tenna can't get a good signal here in Sacramento -- then whatever happens happens and the signal is stronger for KSFO for John Batchelor hour two and Red Eye.
