President Obamas post-election offer to sit down with vanquished GOP rival Mitt Romney has spurred talk of a possible White House role for Romney, a move that could help calm jitters on Wall Street and warm the partisan chill on Capitol Hill.
Romney is still licking his wounds from the devastating loss, and supporters say hes more concerned now with being with family than working with Obama.

Yeah. And pigs may fly! Obama is ALL about Socialism. Romney would never fit into the milieu.
He’d probably take it!
Sheer stupidity.
do not do this......do NOT do this....
We are living in bizarro world.
Why not ???
Willard would fit right in...
Yes, if he had anything to do with Obama afterwards it would make it too clear that our 2 parties are just different heads of the same hydra.
Obama has hidden behind white people long enough; he has been exposed as an incompetent affirmative action token (and America didn’t mind anyway).
I disagree. At this point people need jobs. If Romney knows how to do it. Hire him.
Why, so 0 can blame the fiscal cliff/economic collapse on Mitt?
If the campaign didn’t make me jump off a bridge, that would probably do it!
This is satire, right?
You mean set Romney up as a fall guy. If I were Romney I would never set foot near this group.
“I disagree. At this point people need jobs. If Romney knows how to do it. Hire him.”
Obama has a job. That’s the only one he cares about.
I don’t see it being offered. I can’t imagine it being accepted. But, if it does happen I’ll never vote for another Republican again as long as I live.
Yes he does but he doesn’t like to do it.
Agreed. Romney's plan would slash spending and keep the current tax rates or even lower them. This would meet with complete disapproval with Obama, his administration, and the DEMs.
Didn’t Obama try this hat trick on his first term and the man got tired of the BS and quit. I forget who that was.
BTTT
Well there’s an easy “Go pack sand” moment.
Judd Gregg.
Well, Romney know his business better than I. Were it me, however, I would politely but firmly refuse any such offer. Obama has no intention of triangulating or embracing a more moderate course on domestic policy. I think it quite plain he will tack further to the left. At best, “reaching out” to Romney would be nothing more than a show move to appear centrist/bipartisan/etc. At worst, it would be a trap to make Romney a fall guy for any future economic failures.
Bingo!
What jerk is writing this article??
I sincerely doubt he’d do it but if he did I’d lose *all* respect for him. He’d become another Colin Powell to me.But I think that he has far more class than to hang out with those psychopaths.
Exactly.I'd wager that Romney would understand that any offer that might be made to him is a setup. That's what psychopaths do.
The only reason Hussein would ever do anything like that would be to gloat. He hasn’t changed and has no intention of working with the GOP in any capacity.
"President Obamas post-election offer to sit down with vanquished GOP rival Mitt Romney"
We all know what happened when hillary, McCain (and possibly others)had that private meeting with bozo. Bozo cast a spell on them.
Mitt DO NOT have any private meetings with bozo.
Romney would prove he was not fit to be president, should he do that. Giving bipartisan cover for Obama’s socialist schemes would be inexcusable.
Oh boy, I don’t see that one happening.
“Why, so 0 can blame the fiscal cliff/economic collapse on Mitt?”
Right on the mark. Precisely what Obama would want Romney for. He most certainly isn’t going to take any advice from him.
American voters had a chance to put Romney in charge of fiscal issues. They chose Obama. Let Obama deal with it. Romney is a fool if he helps.
You said it perfectly.
Romney’s a lefty- he’d fit right in the Obama administration.
Mitt Romney has spurred talk of a possible White House role for Romney, a move that could help calm jitters on Wall Street
If Obama really wants to be BI-partisan, I hope he would offer something — like Sec of Treasury, or Sec of Commerce. If he did that — and a few other GOP members into his next cabinet, then I’ll believe it!!
Adding insult to injury.
Hey, Bobo! You broke it, you bought it.
The only reason this article was written was to pile on conservatives that are down and out. I would personally like to fistfight that bozo, and show him how to have a little respect. Obama might actually want Romney to help him fix the economy because he can’t. Romney wouldn’t even think about it because he knows it’s not possible with Obama’s policies. Since we are now outnumbered by those who want free stuff like $20 cheap ass obamaphones, it no longer matters about the economy. It will never be fixed. The same policies will be in place for the rest of my life. They haven’t worked and never will work. We might as well accept it. Even though almost half this country wants to uphold the constitution and maintain the pride of America that our forefathers and fathers fought for, we will never have the numbers to stop them. I’m seriously considering just quitting work and going into survival mode now. I can stop paying paying payroll taxes and stop feeding the leeches of the left’s slave encampment. Why not? Maybe I will.
Dangerous ground:
Romney cares about the country so he would probably take it. It would annoy both the left and right. If Romney fixed financial issues and Obama takes credit there would be a storm brewing.
He would do it for the country , not Obama .
Both democrats and republicans serve in combat.
They fight for the country , not the president.
Even if he could help and make a positive contribution to the country I cringe at the idea.

Yes. I still cringe at the idea of Romney taking an offer.
A guy who wants Susan Rice to be his next Secretary of State is not going to choose Romney to be in his cabinet.
I would like to see him do it for the sake of country... however I can not see helping this misguided man we have to call President again to become a success when he has the BAD policies... So MITT bails out his bad model then claims victory?
Since it is agreed 0 ran a mostly negative campaign against Romney that was successful one would wonder if it was all smoke and mirrors when suddenly the object of all that villification shows up in the administration.
You are so sweet.
Smiling. Likewise and your comment and thinking are spot on!
