I can’t figure out why he would fraternize with the enemy at that specific moment in time.

Exactly. A democrat would never have done any such thing. They have better political instincts. Christie would make a great dem because he too has solid political instincts. This was a calculated move on his part and it was absolutely done with the intention of achieving the result we saw Tuesday night. This is also why he did nothing but talk about himself at the convention when he was the freaking keynote speaker. He's as transparent as Xerox without the toner.

Even the far left statist, Bloomberg, told Obama to stay the hell out of the city. The useless fat sack of sh!t from NJ could have easily done the same thing, and kept Obama out of the news for five straight days. More than 40% of the voters said that the storm, and Obama's response, impacted their vote. Another high percentage of voters made their decision at the last minute and fat boys groveling at Obama's feet swayed them. Christie's actions absolutely had a significant impact on this election. I don't know the fat sack of sh!t's true motivations, I only know the results. So I don't friggin care. All I know is he made a huge mistake and should become a democrat is he every wants to hold office again. Eff Christie.

So basically, it comes to this:

Christie turned out to be their “October Surprise” after all.

I think Christie had four motivations...

You are reading waaaay too much into Christie's motivation for complimenting TOTUS. Christie was deeply, emotionally and completely overwhelmed by the catastrophic destruction that befell his beloved New Jersey.

Christie may not be capable of higher office, as evidenced by his emotional meltdown following a disaster. However, to think that Christie was jockeying for anything beyond federal assistance to pick up the pieces of NJ is obtuse.

Christie didn’t have to take the time to walk around just looking at damage with barry, and give him the photo ops he needed. Whatever help obama pledged could have been pledged from ,well, a fundraiser in Las Vegas for instance. If Vegas is good enough for the morning after a terrorist attack that kills four Americans on Sept 11th, it’s good enough for pledging help to New Jersey!!

My instincts were correct about Chrsitie from the beginning: he is a total douche bag.

And to think that the Republican Party gave this guy a speech at the convention, but shunned Sarah Palin like she had a scarlet letter pinned on her chest! The establishment Republicans truly are brain dead idiots!

It will be interesting to see what happens with his run for gov this coming year. My sense is he pulls a Crist. In fact, he and Crist would make a great team, Stan and Ollie.

“new jersey — is there any other state left where you can’t even pump your own gas?”

Yes, Oregon.

To make Romney lose so he could run in 2016? I dont believe it, but it’s something.

Christie facilitated the media’s fawning frenzy, and he KNEW the frenzy would happen.

He sold out the country out of spite, for not being chosen as VP.

I’m sick.

-— And if he were actually worried about helping his constituents, he would have been out days ago yelling about the absolutely awful response by FEMA IN THE AFTERMATH.

So far: bupkis.-—

Case closed.

Not necessarily. I have been watching friends I have known since the mid 80s on Facebook admiring the hell out of him and calling him a big time leader. Both Dems and Republicans speaking this way and all lifelong Jersey residents.

I hope he switches to Dem and eventually becomes the opening act for Springsteen.

I think Obama and Springsteen were playing fatso for a fool...laughing behind his back. Then he cried because he talked to Springsteen.

Christie acts more like an adolescent girl than a man. He is a total embarrassment!

If you can’t see he’s a nasty, snarly, petty man in many of his interactions, you’re obtuse.

As I said before, Christie is the typical schoolyard bully. He talks tough but when a girl name Sandy slapped him he cried like a baby and ran away. He completely collapsed at his first crisis.
