So what do you have in mind?

There isn’t going to be very much left of the old Republic in four years. You see any legal way to stop them? I’m all ears.

Legal ways to stop this election include challenges to the election results by judges at the state level and a challenge of the eligibility of a nominee when the electoral college votes are read in Congress in January 2013.

Nothing is final. Know your history, as it may be 1876 all over again.

I don’t even see non-legal ways of stopping them. Give me a break on the civil war machos. A few scattered shotguns isn’t an army.

“So what do you have in mind?”

If you’re asking for specifics, it would be unwise to give any out even if I had them.

But mostly what I’m talking about is a certain constant attitude, such that when a situation presents itself the proper response will come to mind naturally.

This is the attitude that is so sorely lacking in our Republican leadership now. Think Boehner, McConnell, Graham, Romney.

It’s the attitude I found so admirably displayed by that guy (help me out, someone, with the link or the quote, please) who, when a liberal reporter got frustrated that he wouldn’t bother laying out his argument for the Second Amendment, and challenged him to sum it up in one sentence, dismissively, matter-of-factly told the reporter: “If you try to take our guns, we will kill you.”

It’s about the attitude. The street thug, instinctively, will only victimize someone who doesn’t have that attitude. I’m not talking about a flashy or puffed up sort of martial arts bravura. The thug’s not interested in (or particularly afraid of) fighting or martial arts - only in taking his victim out, and doing it with the least danger to himself. Someone that he senses would do it to him without hesitation is what he wants to avoid. He will generally back off and seek an easier target. The Marxist thugs see most of us as easy targets, and we are, and they’re not backing off.
