FDR was polarizing, from what I read.

My grandfather always referred to him as "that idiot roosevelt".

At least when I was present ... Don't know what word he used in place of "idiot" when kids weren't around.

My dad and 2 of his bros were in the CCC. They loved FDR like a father....it meant survival.
