Well I think the problem came in that “our” analysts were missing half the story. They got the drop in Obama support right, and most of them even included a sentence similar to “if Romney does at least as well as McCain he’ll win”. What they missed was he wasn’t going to do as well as McCain, which is a tough thing to see coming. As much as I dislike Romney he’s not nearly as big a jerk as McCain and seemed to campaign very well, not to mention just killing it in the debates. It’s a good reminder that debates don’t actually matter, even I forget that sometimes, they’re dog and pony shows mostly watched by the already converted so they can cheer on their guy.
The real numbers were out there, Rove & Morris & the gang of people who were feeding Romney did a terrible job. You have a freeper out here on his computer doing what Nate Silver did & the GOP did ot even know this, or understand it ?
