WASHINGTON (Reuters) - As television networks began declaring that President Barack Obama had won re-election, the most captivating televised drama Tuesday evening played out on Fox News, where Republican strategist Karl Rove refused to believe the race between Obama and Mitt Romney was over.

"I think this is premature," said Rove, a former senior adviser to George W. Bush and architect of Bush's two successful runs for the White House.

"We know that Karl has a rooting interest," Fox host Chris Wallace replied.

More than a rooting interest: Rove was the most prolific fundraiser for Republican causes during the 2012 election cycle.

For a supposedly smart political strategist, Rove got the calls on FL and OH wrong - both of which were won by Obama.

Every one could see that the only state Mitt Happens flipped from 2008 apart from IN, was NC.

He’s not someone a Republican candidate should hire to advise his campaign.

His superior acumen showed up in Romney’s loss.

Why was it a bad night for Rove? He did what Fox News pays him (quite well) to do? Namely, feed conservatives sunshine and Bullsh*t so they keep tuning in and keep Fox the #1 cable news network...

This is so important I think we might even think about a write-in campaign to our GOP Senators and Reps. This man should be SHUNNED and ignored. He is the Architect from Hell.

I detest him so much that I have to pray for him now.

Why single out rove and focus on him? He predicted a romney win with 285 electoral votes. George will predicted 321. Kudlow predicted 330 barone had 315. Many at this site predicted +300 blowouts. One freeeper thought romney would win california. They were all wrong. Nate silver who everyone hates was not far off. He predicted 313 for obama. MSM polls were closer than our side.

I’m really down on all Conservative news. I have been reflecting on the election and my expectations.

in the past, it’s been a sure thing that the “polls” would always surprise the democrats on election night. This time WE were surprised. But we were surprised because the polls were RIGHT and we (at least me) assumed the momentum, the D+11, the issues polls, etc. had our guy tied, close or even ahead. Ties go to the underdog, right?

I realize that I trusted the same sources that I have been trusting for years and was fooled because of the now “conservative bias.” We used to get it straight and we trusted that. FOX may have swung into bias objectivity and sucked me in.

I’ll be watching more CNN to see where things are from now on.

I am convinced that political consultants (Republican) are almost worse than liberals. They have no interest in conservative landslides. Close elections (in either direction) get them hired in the next election cycle. They have no loyalty to ideas and ideals - only to their next paycheck. When we purge the conservative ranks, let’s start with the consultants - Karl first.

That’s right, that kept quite a few of us up for a bit longer then we should’ve.

I looked at Rove’s 3-2-1 plan for 270 EC votes, and Romney actually had 29K more votes in those 6 swing states than the Kenyan. This race was won by a handful of voters in swing states.
